Honey Nut Granola

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
YUM! I just made this and it is delish! I didn't have almonds or pecans, don't like them anyway, so I put in sunflower seeds and a little coconut, and raisins. This will be a favorite!

Meatiest Vegetarian Chili From Your Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
I loved this! I did change a bit, I used white beans and didn't drain, and also added some water, I like stuff soupy. I didn't have tofu, but I like to add potatoes instead, they really taste good after 8 hours. I have made this many times, my husband and I love having it on a cold day!!

Sicilian Lentil Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
This is delicious! I'm enjoying a bowl right now. It really has a meaty taste, wonderful! I was worried at first, because there's barely spices and i'm used to using a lot, but it came out great. I had to wing it with the tomato sauce and paste, in this country they don't sell sauce, and the cans are measured differently. But i'll be sure to make this again, and again, and again!

Lentil Rice and Veggie Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
it was very good! i took the suggestion of mixing the second half of the sauce with the spices before pouring it on top of the veggies, also added a bit of garlic powder to that... mixed it with grated cheese on my plate, yum! i will add some hot chili sauce next time though, just to give it more of an "oomph!"

Upside-Down Pizza

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
i really liked this. it came out a bit weird, as we don't eat milk and meat together, so i left out the beef, and made my own sauce. i poured it into the pan and thought: wow this is going to be pretty wet... but i went ahead anyway, i figured it would work out since i'm following the recipe! but it came out good anyway. i brought it to my parents to eat and everyone loved it! thank you!

White Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
we call these blondies! i made them once, not this recipe, i don't use cake-mixes, i just made my mother-in-law amazing brownie recipe, but left out the cocoa... although it comes out very sweet!

Simple Mexican Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
this was delicious! i accidentally added a bit too much of the chicken boullion (it fell out of the bag as i was pouring), but except for that it was great! i didn't measure out the spices, just did it by guessing, and i used mostly sweet paprika, otherwise it's too spicy... but it was good!

Dutch Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
my father makes "hutspot" - that's really dutch! he cooks the onion together with the potatoes and carrots, and just adds black pepper and salt. we eat it with meatballs or hamburgers, and pour gravy over it. yum! my hubby didn't like it that way, maybe i'll do it your way, although without sourcream and chives...

Slow Cooked Apple Peach Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
i loved this. i used very little cinnamon because of other reviews. it was very good, also i think this might be ideal baby-food. i was worried at the beginning, because there was no liquid, but after a few hours there was a lot, it came out of the fruit, so i'm happy i didn't add any!

this was pretty good! i changed a lot of ingredients, due to: my diet, kosher dietary laws, and stuff i didn't have on hand... someone told me i didn't make this but a completely different thing!

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
wow this stuff is good! i made 40 servings, because that's how many apples i had. according to that recipe i had to add 2.5 cups sugar, i added less than 1, half brown half white. it's still pretty sweet though! i don't really have a sweet tooth... i didn't follow the recipe exactly, i put it in at 8.00 in the evening and was going out, so i put it on low... left it on all night, turned it off around 5.20 in the morning. i didn't see that you had to cook it uncovered. oh well, next time (there will surely be a next time!)...

Mexican Sunset Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
loved this! used cottage cheese instead of sour cream, and used homemade salsa and self-mixed taco seasoning from this site. the salsa was mild, did not contain hot peppers, and the taco stuff also wasn't made too hot, but the bread did have a zing to it! even though i had to make some of the ingredients myself it was totally worth it! will make this again tonight!

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
the color and texture weren't that good, but the taste is almost like my mother's! i can't figure out her recipe, cuz she doesn't believe in telling me what she puts in, she shows me and it's confusing! i didn't use ginger, and i used chili sauce instead of paste. very liquidy. but it tasted great!

Sweet and Nutty Moroccan Couscous

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
i didn't even add the almonds yet (i am serving it tonite, don't want them soggy) and it is delish! pretty sweet too. you can even eat it without the cinnamon. i made it with whole-wheat couscous. and i used oil instead of butter. thank you for a great recipe!
