Sweet Potato Casserole VI

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
This recipe was a hit-again! We love the sweet potato flavor enhanced with these comfort flavors :). I baked my potatoes beforehand, as recommended and I also used only 1/2 the ingredients for the topping. Made believers out of white-spud-only relatives!

Chef John's Turkey Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
This was a very good way to eat turkey. In fact, my husband loved it- he loves spicy things. I gave it 4 stars because, as printed. it was a bit too hot for my son and I. We'll definitely make it again, probably with a pinch less cayenne.

Sweet Leftover Turkey Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2012
This salad was awesome! We had it for dinner after letting it sit for 1 1/2 hours-the flavors blended together well. I used 1/2 t. lemon juice, since I didn't have fresh lemon. My daughter was not a fan of fruit mixed in, but my husband says she will like it when she's older. He loved it and will take it for lunch tomorrow

Marshmallow Crispie Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
I love these! I've made krispie treats since my preteen years, but this seems like the best way to do them! One note- last time I added the cereal before the mini marshmallows had completely lost their shape. The outcome was less mess in the pot and a treat that had a few marshmallow "chunks". Reminded me of what I can buy at Starbucks :).

Brie Cheese Appetizer

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
The taste was good, but I must've overcooked. Mine had a very flat shape and was visually unappealing.

Fruit Salad in Seconds

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
Took this for Christmas celebration. Nephews raved about it (!) and it went fast. I did not used about half as much yogurt as was recommended and added in drained canned pears. So nice that the calculator helped me know how much to buy!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
My husband said this fish was "amazing" and thought it was as good as fish prepared in some of his favorite restaurants. I love that kind of response. First time making it and I went straight for the adaptations of no lemon juice and adding bread crumbs. I am so thrilled to have this added to my repertoire!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
Very easy- ingredients I had on hand- great flavor- it's all good. I think I may try less brown sugar and a touch of Worcestershire sauce as mentioned by another. 'Glad to have a great basic recipe.
