I would give this a zero if I could. The sweetened condensed milk is the only saving grace of this recipe. First off, quick oats are not the best option. You would be much better off toasting slow oats and allowing them to cool before applying them in the recipe. Second, these do need to be packed rather firmly in order for them to hold well and the end result is a very dense bar. This recipe needs something to lighten the mixture considerably. Puffed rice would work or as I had mentioned, toasting the slow oats would work as well. Also, this recipe needs at least a half teaspoon of salt to balance the sweetness. Vanilla helps too. These were just dense and raw tasting, and ultimately unpleasant. I have NO idea how it has been rated so high thus far.
