About this Cook
25 years old, living in Princeton, NJ as a transplant from WI and then Seattle, WA. My interest in cooking and baking has grown as I have become more involved in elite Olympic-level athletics. As I train full time and my body is my livelihood, the food I prepare is really important to my daily performance. I am always looking for fun, great-tasting new ways to incorporate healthy high performance foods into my diet without breaking the bank. I also shop and cook with my two roommates who are also athletes, which is a lot of fun!
My favorite things to cook
I love trying new recipies with new ingredients that I've never used before. I also love preparing food for parties!

Monkey bread is always a triumph, no matter who I serve it to.

Gluten-free pizza.

Curried Tilapia with Mango Salsa
I actually omitted the salt because I forgot it--good thing too, the salsa doesn't need it at all.

Banana Oat Bars
These were really weird. I find it really difficult to classify them. They were very moist, but almost wet which was kind of strange. They tasted fine but just... weird. I swapped the raisins for walnuts and I'm glad I did, I can't imagine having even more moisture in them than they had.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic
Delicious the night we served it and the next day. Easy to prepare with simple ingredients we had on hand. Guests we served were very impressed, and so was I! Will definitely make again. The flour dredging could probably stay or go, I didn't think it made that much of a difference.
