Easy Apple Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
Very good! On the sweet side, so only good for special occasions! Very pretty, good for company. I used Duncan Hines Butter flavor cake mix once, and pineapple cake mix another time. Both were delicious!

Maille® Vinaigrette Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
Very good as is. Then, I also added some pureed frozen peaches and fresh basil leaves to it, just because I had some those on hand. Excellent salad dressing.

Turkish Red Lentil 'Bride' Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2013
This is great! I made a quite a few changes, only because I wanted to use up what we had in our cupboards. It's a great recipe, and is very forgivable, so I'm still rating it 5 stars. I want to report the ingredients I used, so people know the substitutions will work. First, I used half red lentils, and half brown, chicken broth instead of vegetable stock, chopped sundried tomatoes instead of tomato paste, lemon juice instead of sliced lemons, and left out the mint. Wow, I guess I really did change it up. But even with these substitutions, the soup was great. This will be my new favorite go to soup recipe! Cheap, easy, and tastes great. Can't get better than that.

Stuffed Chicken Breasts with Artichoke Hearts, Feta Cheese, Capers, and Black Olives

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2013
WOW!!! The greatest recipe on here. I did change it up a bit, but nothing that affected the taste. I doubled the recipe, and instead of rolling the chicken up, I layered half of the flattened chicken in the bottom of a casserole dish, put the cheese mix in the middle, and the other half of the chicken on top. I also added a cup or so of chopped fresh spinach, and dried tomatoes to the cheese mis - just because I had them on hand, and because other reviewers said they added them. I topped it with a mix of Italian bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. This is just fyi.... the recipe didn't necessarily need these changes... This will be a go to recipe for this house. YUMM!

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Very tasty, but too many chocolate chips made it too sweet. Next time I will make without chocolate chips.

Jif® Peanut Butter Granola

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2012
Great recipe. Even though I didn't make it exactly per the recipe, I gave it a 5 because the flavor was fantastic. I tweaked it per what I had on hand. It was great, and I'm sure it would be even better made per the recipe. My tweaks... I added 1 cup each of rolled barley, rolled rye flakes, sweetened coconut, flax seed, roasted sunflower seeds to the oatmeal. I didn't have peanuts or figs on hand, so I didn't add those. I also added 2 egg whites to the peanut butter / honey mix. Everything else, I kept the same. I suspect these would also be good baked into granola bars. Thanks JIF! Love this recipe.

Mediterranean Potato Salad

This was perfect, and nice not having to worry about mayo. Didn't have red potatoes, so I just used Idaho. Also used white wine vinegar. We also didn't have any tomatoes, but it was fine without them.

Delicious and very simple. Only difference, I used dry white wine instead of the sherry and a stick blender. Great easy recipe. Thanks!

Chocolate Eclair Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
Easy to make and tasty considering how easy it is. It's a good recipe to make with kids, or when you just want to throw together something sweet quickly. In response to the review left by Isabelle, I'm surprised that an expert cook like herself would make a recipe like this. Anyone with any common sense can see that this recipe is focusing on simplicity and they would not expect it to be a gourmet dessert. Give us a break, Isabelle.
