Jalapeno Yummies

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
Excellent! The only change I made was to add shredded cheddar cheese to the cream cheese mixture. It would have been easier to bake though because the toothpicks make it hard to cook on all sides. Great taste!

Fresh Fig Cookies

Yum! Try this variation: I omited the cloves and walnuts and added 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract and 1/2 cup chopped almond bark (about the size of chocolate chips). The kids can't get enough.

Cream of Broccoli Soup V

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
Great flavor with the worcestershire sauce, mozzarella, and bouillon. My husband doesn't like meals without meat, so added ground beef and used beef bouillon instead of chicken.

Blonde Brownies II

These were too salty!!! They were also greasy. Maybe 2/3 cup of butter is too much.

Stuffed Acorn Squash Supreme

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
Yum! We loved this dish! It has a great combination of flavors. I used deer meat because I didn't have turkey sausage. Other than that I didn't change a thing. This should be at the top of your list of what to make with acorn squash!

Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
Great taste! I made some substititions just to use what I had on hand. I used savoy cabbage and a red bell pepper instead of the green. Wonderful- we will make it again!

Cheesy Sausage Zucchini Casserole

This was very pleasing. Yum! I made a couple of substitutions. I used Italian sausage instead of pork and yellow squash instead of zucchini. We will make it again!

Australian BBQ Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
We really enjoyed these meatballs. I tweaked the recipe a bit...I used half of the onion it called for in both parts of the recipe. Also, since the other reviews said the sauce was too strong, I replaced the beef stock with water, and used 1/4 c. worcestershire, took out the coffee (coffee in meatballs???!). It was very tasty and I will be making this again.

Venison and Barbequed Bean Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
This dish was delicious! It is packed with flavor. It makes a whole lot, so be ready for left-overs. It would probably freeze well though. I made it with a moose roast and it tasted great. Next time I will probaby use half of the broth; it seemed excessive to have that much liquid. After baking it turned out a little more runny than expected, but still tasted yummy. It would be really good served over cornbread.

Marinated Vegetable and Olive Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
The flavor was great, but it turned out TOO SALTY. Next time I will omit the salt and maybe use garlic powder instead of garlic salt. The recipe is great for whatever fresh veggies you have around.

Rhubarb Crisp

The topping is way too salty. It ruins the dessert.
