Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
This was great. Everyone asked me for the recipe! Used apples and gingersnaps...

Cream of Fresh Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
This was so delicious! Had it with some grilled cheese...My modifications: I added a few cloves of garlic, didn't drain the delicious juicyness, and only added half the milk.

'Chinese Buffet' Green Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
These were really good. I have made them 2x now, and the second time I added a bunch of sliced, fresh mushrooms. Delicious!

Paella

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
This was so good. First attempt at paella. I went out and got a Spanish cookbook, to try other varieties.

Classic Spanish Sangria

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
This was pretty good. I have to admit I used spiced rum, as suggested in some reviews, and it was WAY too sweet for our tastes. Next time I'll either leave out the sugar or use plain rum as in the recipe. I diluted it a bit with Sprite to cut down the sweetness, and it was very good!

Easy Paella

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
This was beyond delicious! I did decrease the red pepper flakes by half, because that was the preference of my guests. I also decreased the paprika by half, as suggested by other reviewers. I stirred a can of diced tomatoes (drained) into the cooked rice. The only change I would make is to cook the chorizo first to drain it (as its quite greasy), and then simmer with the other meats to let the flavors blend. Thanks for the recipe!! Served with sangria!!

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
Made this for my super bowl party...delicious! I used one of the jiffy pizza crust mixes (only about 50 cents), prebaked it, spread with blue cheese and topped with chicken/hot sauce mixture. Very easy and everyone seemed to like it.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
This was pretty good...not as good as I expected given all the reviews. I think it had too much zucchini for my taste.

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
Great basic recipe. Nothing fancy, but very good. A real crowd pleaser. I had to use more mayo and mustard to get the desired consistency.

Greek Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
This was amazing! I used less artichoke hearts, because it was all I had. Delicious recipe! I also used diced tomatoes instead of fresh.

Sourdough Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
I don't know what I did wrong, maybe I didn't keep the starter in a warm enough place. I ended up with flat bread...some people mentioned the flour amount was wrong, so maybe that was it. Tasted delicious though, we used it with dip.

Chicken A La Yummy

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
This was very good. I wasn't sure what to expect, as I used a wine that I didn't like (to use up the bottle!). Great taste to the chicken. cooked with sliced onions and garlic. Only drawback was the color-purplish chicken is a little strange.

This was delicious! I used ground ginger instead of fresh...would be even better with fresh!

This was terrible! I used Coors Light. Would give it less than 1 star if possible.

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
So good and healthy! I used only one can of beans, and I increased the cayenne a little. When I ate it leftover, I added some salsa, and that was great too.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
This was great! I doubled the jalepenos, and it wasn't extremely spicy. I used half mayo & half sour cream, and sprinkle some bread crumbs on top, which gave it a good appearance. Served with tortilla chips...everyone loved it!

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
Very good! I used 1/2 of a large onion, and a few tablespoons of dried parsley. I had to add an extra egg for moisture, and still only used 1 cup of bread crumbs. My only complaint is that this was pretty salty. Since the beans are already salty, I will omit the added salt next time.

Tzatziki Sauce II

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
This is great! I used dried mint, because I had it on hand, and used low-fat sourcream instead of yogurt. I had it with falafel, but it would be great as dip too!

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
This was really good. I only had water-packed artichokes, so that is what I used. It would be better with the marinated.

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
These were very good, but the work involved wasn't worth it. Also, there wasn't enough of the cream cheese mixture, and my streusel topping didn't turn out- it was like sugar paste. Maybe skip the topping and increase the cream cheese.
