i used 1 jar of beef gravy instead of the au jux mix and water and low sodium cream of mushroom soup instead of crm of chicken. i also threw in a few small whole onions, some baby carrots and about 8 small red potatoes (washed, skins on) at the beginning of cooking. cooked it for 4 to 5 hours on low and everything came out perfect! i didn't have to make anything extra, it was all in the slow cooker! will definitely make this again!!

this was great! reminded me of a chili/sloppy joe mix. we made the biscuits in the oven, then put the meat mixture on top. besides the onion, we added a chopped green pepper and chopped jalapeno. i also made a vegetarian batch cutting the recipe in half. i used a half pack of soy hot dogs, chopped and fried in a little butter to replace the ground beef. added the same veggies, but instead of bacon, sprinkled a little bacos (soy product) in a few minutes before serving. they softened up and gave it the bacon flavor without adding any meat. he's 18 and loved it!! this is a great recipe, thanks!!
