These are UNBELIEVABLE!!! I've made them 4 times, already and my hubby and kids LOVE them. I made the recipe as written (I thought) the first time, but it turns out I had too much flour. Even so, I added more and more buttermilk until they were JUST pourable. They turned out fabulous! The 2nd time I made them was weird. I'm not sure what happened-I made them exactly as written and though the flavor was good, the texture was not. It was bumpy and squishy in places. The pancakes themselves came out flat and flabby. I'm not sure exactly what went wrong, but I suspect the buttermilk I used wasn't good. I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with the recipe, because the 3rd and 4th time I made these were a hit. They turned out PERFECTLY. The 4th time I made them, I added about 1/2 TBS of cinnamon and 3 capfuls of vanilla, by the way. STUPID DELICIOUS. :) The recipe does a great job of describing the way the batter (almost dough) should look, and that is REALLY helpful (especially for those of us used to making instant just-add-water pancakes). I will never, EVER make instant pancakes again!! Thank you SOOOOO much for freeing me and my family! :)

Ok, maybe I somehow did something wrong, but this came out really, REALLY bland. I should've added more seasoning to the actual chicken--that's my fault. Of course, it also doesn't say to do that, so technically I did follow the recipe almost exactly as written, and it turned out so tasteless we didn't even eat it. I saved the cooked chicken for another dish. It was so bland that when I peeled away the batter, it went great in some quesadillas (with more and different seasoning, of course). Honestly, I don't know how everyone else is getting theirs to turn out well. I picked cheddar cheese and sour cream ruffles. I also used buttermilk instead of regular. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly. I'm sorry, but it's pretty bad when you can't even SERVE it. Not a good recipe (for me, anyway).

This was FANTASTIC! I was missing a few items, but it was still amazing. That's what's so great about this recipe. It doesn't matter if you don't have all the ingredients--in fact, you can add several that aren't even listed and it will still turn out great! I've had this 3 times already in the past week. The first time I made it, I was missing tomatoes and garlic (and I just didn't want to add corn), and I added some taco seasoning to the veggies. The 2nd & 3rd time I made it, I added some chopped olives and sliced jalapenos. Thanks so much for a yummy new staple!

This is friggin' FABULOUS! Easy and delicious--just what I need. It's great because you just toss some stuff in the slow cooker and come out with a week's worth of hearty sandwiches for the family. I used Budweiser BBQ sauce, and I'll admit to being a little worried at first. It smelled very strange (the beer in the sauce, I guess) and I was a little turned off by that at first. But when I tasted it...OH MY GOD. It was fantastic! Excellent recipe--I've made it twice in two weeks, and I'm about to make it again for one of our Superbowl yummies tomorrow. Thanks for the new staple!

This is a good base recipe. I only gave it 3 stars because I made a LOT of changes, since the original recipe as written seemed as though it needed some livening up. I didn't include many of the ingredients listed (no garlic, no hot pepper sauce, no celery, no flour). I added a lot more W. sauce (probably around 2/3 cup, give or take). I also added about a can of tomato soup. I also added lots of spices (cajun, pepper, onion powder, chili powder, garlic salt) to the meat after I browned it (we like our soups with some kick!). I also added half a packet of beef stew seasoning. And, let's see, I think the last change I made was to include cooked noodles in the soup. A nice, wide egg noodle. Made it look great, and sorta pulled it together. Great basic recipe, though--obviously there's a good foundation to build on it and really make it yours. We will definitely be having it again (well, my version).

This was FABULOUS!! It was easy, and tasted great. The best thing is that you can eat it hot or cold. Beware, though, cold is somehow spicier. I can't say enough good things about this. Thanks for a great recipe--with football season coming up, this will get a lot of use from us!

Awesome! My hubby LOVED these! My daughter wouldn't eat them, but she's only two (and VERY picky), so.... Anyway, it's a great little snack or party treat. Thanks for the recipe!

Terrific! My only "complaint," if you can even call it that, is that this is a very large recipe, and yields a LOT of cookies. I love the recipe, but I felt like it took everything in my cupboard to make it. I will halve it next time, and it should be PERFECT! The cookies have a terrific cake-like texture, and are excellent as cookie bars. My hubby has already requested that I make more, and we're not even done with this batch yet! Thanx much for sharing!
