Creamy Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
So good! I used Hershey's Special Dark cocoa and (oddly enough) fat free half and half, since that's what I had on hand. It was perfect for spreading and didn't harden at all. I got rave reviews- thanks!!

Haddock Bubbly Bake

I'd give this a 2, but my husband said 4. I won't be making it again.

Roast Pork with Onion Stuffing

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
We've used this recipe so many times- thank you! I have a tendancy to dry out pork roasts, so I never slice it. I just crust it with the stuffing and bake like that. But our favorite is on top of chops- keeps everything moist, and the flavors go so well.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Delicious and moist, and they leave tons of room for whatever dried fruits or nuts you'd like to add. A big hit with my family.

Boston Baked Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
These were very tastey, but they took a lot of time to cook in the slow cooker. I liked them a lot, but I'll probably just stick to canned since they were very similiar, just required a WHOLE lot more effort.

Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
So delicious- almost like a brownie in texture. I balled the dough and pressed just a it, and they stayed nice and thick. My brother requests these all the time now. Thanks!

Raspberry Crumb Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
So good. I made mine with blueberries. Made it twice actually, cause the first time around I forgot the egg and milk (don't ask). It got rave reviews BOTH times- hah!

Southern Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
Very moist. Topped it with some homemade BBQ sauce ona bun- delicious. Would like to figure out how to give it a more "off the grill" charred flavor, though...

Glazed Ham

Really delicious and moist. I added a few things, so I couldn't give it a 5, but PERFECT recipe for what I was looking for. Thanks!

Peach Cake Dessert

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
Very tasty! Simple to make for two with a can of peaches. The topping was more cake like, not like cobbler. Delicious topped with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Hubby and I both scraped our bowl!

Cod Fish Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
Even with fish that had been frozen a bit too long, these came out delicious. I did add some extra seasoning and dredge them before frying.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
Mmmm! Very moist and VERY heavy. Certainly not for dainty eaters. I used 1/2 brown sugar (ran out of white) and will probably cut down the oil next time. **Edited** I've made this many times now, and I prefer 1/2 oil and half applesauce. Same dense moist texture, but much healthier.

Baked Zucchini Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
These were okay, but nothing special. I didn't care for the parmesean mixed in. I'll stick to fried zuc, since we make it so infrequently anyway.

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
I made these "as is" (just added a thin piping of Burnt Butter Frosting as another reviewer suggested) and they were the hit of the party! So dense and chewy. Mmmm!

Burnt Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
Wonderful toffee taste. Very sweet! I piped it in thin lines onto brownies, and it was delicious. Might have been overpowering to spread like a frosting though.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
GREAT base recipe that makes it easy to add what works for your family- vanilla, cinnamon, nuts, dried fruit... I add it all, and bake into muffins. This shortens the bake time and makes them easy on-the-go. Nothing but rave reviews from everyone who has tried them.
