Dill Dip III

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
Like many other reviewers this has good flavor EXCEPT there is way too much seasoning salt. I had to double exerything in this recipe except the salt just to make it palatable. And that was after letting it sit a day. I would start at 1/2 to 1 tsp salt NOT tabelspoon.

Whipping Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
My texture came out perfect with a nuce crust on the outside, and a soft semi-dense almost white color on the inside. However, I usually follow a recipe exact the first time, then see if I need changes. This needs something. It lacked flavor other than maybe that tiny reach of flour flavor. Not sure if it needs salt, or like other and double the extrcts. A little let down after seeing the reviews. I might make again, then again I might not. Made a french buttercream to pipe on slices and place fruit on top, it helped with the taste, but still lacked something. Even my kids asked what was missing.

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I used chicken stock instead of wine, but this recipe is fantastic! Can't give it enough stars. I actually mixed the rosemary, s & p, and garlic together, drizzled a little oil and rubbed the loin down, than rubbed again with garlic mixture and let marinate covered in fridge a couple of hours.

Garlic Prime Rib

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I actually had a 14lb prime rib and had set the timer to check it at 75 minutes(after the temp reduced), and had told someone else to shut the timer off, but not the stove. They shut the whole thing off, but left it in and an hour later I came back, and it was a perfect med on edges and med-rare in center. Tasted unbelievable! And it was my first time cooking a prime rib. I had lots of compliments. I told my friend it was because of her it was so good! It may have overcooked otherwise!

Cranana Jam

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
After reading the reviews, most said not a lot of banana flavor-tasted more like strawberry, I decided to make it. Mine has an extreme banana flavor, but unless you bite into a cranberry that is still "whole" you do taste strawberry. I love the strawberry taste, but not the banana. Mine also had a lot of bubbles in my jar once I poured it in, so mine is not as pretty but I do like it. Just not crazy about the banana.

Wine Jelly

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
I too read the reviews seeing that A LOT of people had issues. I added an extra teaspon of pectin to the 1.75 oz box. I found my red wine jellies did not set. I pretty much had to remake all of my jellies following the directions for normal jelly not setting. After doing so my white zin turned out perfectly, my mascoto was good from the start. I also used Shiraz-had to remake and still extremely soft, and port-although good flavor-is going to be a sauce. It still did not set AT ALL. I keep torturing myself be trying to make different kinds. I think IF I do this next year I will try 3 cups of wine(1 bottle) and 1 and 1/2 box pectin to see how that turns out. It does look pretty in the wine glasses with wax. I am giving it 3 stars because flavor is good on all. Whit zin is definately a keeper(and I usually don't like white zin).

Best Ever Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
I tried this recipe for a Red Cross Blood Drive our organization was having. I doubled the recipe and used brown sugar instead of white sugar. I had no rolls left!! There were people arguing over who was gonna get the last one! I will keep this recipe for life!
