About this Cook
I'm a married mother of 3 girls ages 8, 7 and 2. I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes but I also do well at "free style" cooking. Throw a couple ingredients together and it generally comes out pretty good!!
My favorite things to cook
Meatloaf, Pizza Casserole, breakfast items, brownies, kid friendly meals.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I always prepare Pork and Sour Kraut on New Year's Eve. It's a pretty universal tradition I think but we enjoy it.
My cooking triumphs
Nothing to jump over yet, but I'm getting there!!
My cooking tragedies
Thankfully, none yet!!

Eggnog Quick Bread
Great recipe!! I used vanilla spice eggnog, omitted the rum extract because I didn't have it, added vanilla pudding dry mix and increased the eggnog a bit. Awesome!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
I loved this meal, but my husband and kids didn't like it. I changed a few things though I used one can cream of chicken coup and one can cream of onion soup. It gave it more flavor, and I used honey butter biscuits with flaky layers on the top and left them whole. Turned out great. They just don't know "real food" when they taste it!! LOL My husband isn't a fan of pot pies and he said that it's basically like a giant pot pie. I liked it so I rated it 5 stars.

Jelly Bean Nests
Adding peanut butter makes this recipe great!! My girls love it!! They even tried eating the mix right out of the bowl while I was trying to make the nests!! Using a cup cake pan was the easiest way I've found to get them to set up correctly.
