Bean with Bacon

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2014
Yummy this is good!! I followed the recipe exactly except added a chopped green bell pepper and used fire roasted diced tomatoes instead of regular. Topped with shredded cheese and onions ...yum!

South Georgia Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
My only complaint is that they didn't rise at all during baking. Very good dipped in soup and slathered with jelly in the morning :)

Kick'N Chicken with Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2014
We enjoyed this a lot! For the chicken I used Penzey's BBQ 3001 seasoning. It was perfect. Used orange bell pepper instead of the red and added some chopped jalapenos just to add some heat for our taste. This a such a great light chicken dinner :)

Miraculous Canadian Sugar Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2014
Omg this is so delicious!! I realized last minute I didn't have enough brown sugar, so I ended up using 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup granulated sugar. I thought it worked out just fine!! This was a little bit hard to get out of the pan, very sticky, but I got it to work. Great recipe!!

Grilled Parmesan Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2014
Very good! I added a touch of salt and felt it doesn't even need it, the parmesan does enough! Also added some black pepper. Very good :)

Kale Cranberry Pepita Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2014
I really like this, but I think it should be stated to use FRESH OJ in this. I used bottled, and think fresh would have added the nice sweetness this needed for me... Good overall..will make again :)

10 stars if I could! This is some of the most flavorful pot roast I've ever made! Usually the family is dousing it in Lea and Perrins, but not this time...delicious!

Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2014
I used some leftover sauteed cauliflower and I'm guessing it would have equaled 1/2 medium sized head. I used Weight Watchers Italian blend cheese and cut back on it some. I think mine was pretty thick...next time I will use a bigger baking sheet. Had to use a knife and fork, but that is fine with me it's delicious. I topped mine with sauteed onions, bell peppers and spinach. No tomato sauce and no extra cheese, and it was delicious :)

Muffin Pan Frittatas

These are delicious! I did not use cupcake/muffin liners just sprayed the pan. Next time I will use the liners, since mine got a little browned on the outside. The cook time is spot on. Thanks!!

Pasta and Cauliflower

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2014
I went ahead and cooked the cauliflower in the pan along with the onion. Worked great and I didn't have to clean my steamer pot. I agree with another that roasting would be delicious too, adding a new element of flavor. Could have used a few more fresh herbs to brighten it up a bit..maybe some fresh lemon juice... pretty good as is though.

Fatoosh

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2014
It takes some time to get used to the TWANG in that dressing! Wow! First bite I think I made a lemon face...but the more I ate the more my palate got used to it and it became more pleasant to eat. Would maybe use a little less Sumac next time.

Chef John's Ricotta Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2014
These are so soft and cheesy! I did not cook them as the recipe states though, just stuck to my normal, which is roll into balls place on a greased baking rack (over a baking sheet) and baked 25 minutes at 350. Delicious :) Served over Zucchini noodles.
