Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2014
I noticed that people went so far off this recipe and then rated it. The only thing I did different was to add an extra tomato soup can. I liked it a lot for being so simple and easy. I mean, you can't expect a cabbage roll to be restaurant quality or anything, but for good home cooking, nice reicpe!

Grilled Pork Loin Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2014
This was great! The sauce is strong, so just dip sparingly. We loved it over all though :)

SC Frogmore Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2014
This was yummy! I have made frogmore stew before but it did not have the garlic, or onion which I think made this a bit better :) Good eats!

Orange and Fennel Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2014
I made this using my own red leaf lettuce from my garden. I loved the dressing and the pairing of the fennel and orange. What I could do without was the kalamta olives. I love them, no doubt, but they had no place in this light, crisp salad. I would leave them out in the future!!

Roast Chicken by Kevin Sbraga

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2014
I don't think that as much butter called for is necessary. After prepping this chicken there was butter everywhere, and it took me forever to wash all the butter off my hands. I also would have thought using at least some of the lemon juice and orange juice would have boosted the flavor.

Swedish Meatballs (Svenska Kottbullar)

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2014
I did not like the meatballs. They were to soft. I could barely keep them together as they were sauteing, plus I thought they were bland. The sauce was pretty good though!

Cauliflower and Broccoli Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
This was good. Even though my cheese on top looked so good, as I dug in the casserole, it was SO watery! Everything was just soggy and kind of unnapealling to look at.

Candied Bacon

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
This is my 3rd time to make this bacon and it's fantastic! Mine took longer, but I do get a thick cut bacon from my meat market. It's dangerous stuff for sure, I could eat a pound or more of this stuff. Delicious!!!

Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2014
We enjoyed this but it was a lot of cumin! I like cumin, but this was overpowering slightly. Easy recipe, I think some chopped tomatoes added in at the end would have been a nice addition.

Delicious, even if I did forget the cheese lol! I cut back quite a bit on the half and half as well and it was plenty creamy. Yum on the bacon!

Roasted Yam and Kale Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2014
Yummy, I liked this a lot more than I thought I would! I wasn't sure I would like sweet potatoes, or caramelized onions cold but I did and I ate this up with a smile :) I have some left over that I'm going to try out on my husband tomorrow and see if he likes it. Thanks!

BBQ Glazed Homemade Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2014
I did change the cooking method just a bit in this. First of all I cut the brown sugar in half. I baked the meatballs on there own, for about 20 minutes to get rid of some of the grease. Didn't want a greasy sauce. In a sauce pan I sauteed the onion and garlic to soften then added the rest of the sauce ingredients and heated until hot. Put the meatballs into a baking dish and poured the sauce over and baked another 10 minutes. I think an hour is WAY too long to cook meatballs. I gave this a 4 because I think the sauce would have been greasy, and that this would have been WAY too sweet had I used all the brown sugar.

Honey Mustard Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2014
I used this on a turkey melt. I agree with the other reviewers that it is a touch too much mayo. Worked well after reducing the mayo..but tasty as well! I used a coarse grain mustard. I think I will keep on the search for the perfect honey mustard!

This took double the time...about 30 minutes total. Tasted great though! I like the way it's not soaking and cooking in grease the whole time!
