New York Pushcart Onions (For Hot Dogs)

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2013
I really enjoyed these! I did more than one dash of hot pepper sauce and used red bell peppers. I could eat them on their own...yummy!

Veal Scallopini in a Sweet Red Pepper Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2013
There is a few things wrong with this recipe. For one thing I would have really liked for this to have a crispy crust and not a soggy wet one. Also the veal was super dry...AND last this was super sweet and off putting maybe a pinch of sugar, or none at all...I just really didn't care for much in this recipe.

Pan Fried Swiss Chard

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2013
How you can love anything that has bacon!! I didn't have the garlic paste so I just chopped up a couple cloves very finely. Nice pop with the addition of the lemon too. Thanks!

Country Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2013
I loved this gravy! I really like all the added veggies and herbs that I normally don't put into a country gravy. I didn't have fresh thyme so I used about 1/4 tsp. dried. Very yummy!

Jay's Hearty Breakfast Skillet

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2013
Very good! I did green and yellow bell pepper and used sharp grated shredded cheese. Instead of using an extra pot to boil the potatoes, I cut them into super small cubes and just fried them until done in the same pan as the bacon. Did my eggs over easy. Delicious!!!

Curried Pork Chops and Cauliflower with Basmati Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2013
This was too sweet for some reason. I love sweet stuff, but this was a weird sweet to me. My husband liked it a lot and it came out looking pretty...so that's my 3 stars.

Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2013
Amazingly good meatloaf! I didn't think I would have enough glaze, but I did and nobody dipped there's in bbq sauce, which happens often with meatloaf around here. Good flavor :)

Linda's Poblanos stuffed with Cauliflower

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2013
As soon as I saw this recipe I knew I had to give it a try. The only difference I made was I forgot the tomatillo, so I used a regular tomato, and that I successfully baked this for 25 minutes at 350. This was the perfect light lunch!

Mango Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2013
This is very addictive and hard to stop eating! I halved the recipe for just one loaf, but I kept the nuts the same, and used chopped pecans. Since I only did one loaf, mine was done in 45 minutes. Great for a nice breakfast treat :)

Thousand Island Dressing II

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2013
I whipped this up real quick for some patty melts I made. PERFECT!!! I had a tiny bit of mustard relish I wanted to use up so I used that plus the rest sweet relish, so this had a slight mustard flavor. Not sure how I would like this on a salad, but I did save the extra to spread on sandwiches and burgers! Yum!

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2013
Fantastic! Next time I may saute some diced onion with the garlic and mushroom stems, which I think would be a good addition. No salt needed so don't add it thinking you need it. I added a little extra sprinkle of cayenne to the tops of the mushrooms before baking. YUM!

Roasted Herb Chicken and Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2013
I had to cook my chicken for about 1 1/2 hrs on 375 then 1/2 hr more at 400, but I think I had about a 7 lb. chicken. This was fantastic though!!! I have to say the best tasting whole chicken I've ever made! I threw in some baby carrots with the potatoes and onions. Delicious!!

Moist Chocolate Muffins

I thought these would be sweeter than what they were. I was really surprised. They have a descent chocolaty flavor, but I was just expecting more I guess. Kids loved them though!

Chinese Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2013
I did the marinade, threw the pork chops in and froze this. 2 weeks later I pulled it out and grilled it. I thought it was very salty even though I used low sodium soy sauce. Not sure if it's because I froze it? Anyway, I plan to try this again fresh to find out.

Yummy!! This was perfect! I did just go ahead and microwave it the whole time...I didn't want to heat up my house with the oven. Yogurt is such a good substitute for sour cream!!!

Chef John's Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2013
These were good! I think I overworked my dough some because I had a lot of trouble to get them to flatten, but I made it work. Used this for just plain ol' tacos!
