About this Cook
Hi! I'm a 28 year old stay at home mommy to a wonderful 7 year old daughter and a handsome 22 month old baby boy! I am married to the most handsome and sweet man in the whole world! I absolutely love to cook (it's my passion) and after a few more kids would love to attend culinary school and make a career of it. I love to cook as openly and adventurous as possible (or as my family will allow). I'm trying to get my slightly picky husband to open up more to exotic foods...one day I'll break him ;) I love to cook as fresh and healthy as possible so I shop weekly at the local farmers market and buy the freshest produce and meats and grow some of my own veggies and herbs. I can't wait to share my recipes here and try yours!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Thai and Asian cuisine. I also love to cook seafood (even though it can be tricky for me for some reason) and just plain old comfort food as well...steak and potatoes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
There was really none...I don't think anyone in my family is as interested in cooking as I am...not saying that they didn't cook well. Thanksgiving and Christmas has always been delicious so I give them that!! I plan on making some real cooking traditions of my own though!
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I can cook a meal and get my husband to say, "man, this is better than my moms!"
My cooking tragedies
None too tragic yet, but I still have plenty of time for some!

Chinese Chicken Salad III
Awesome salad!! That dressing is SO GOOD!!! I subbed the hoisin sauce because I didn't know I was out with ponzu sauce with a little extra brown suger. Love the crunchy wonton wrappers! Added some sesame seeds on top! YUM!

Super Calzones
I liked this so much better without the tomato sauce. I love tomato sauce just not for dipping. Pizza or spaghetti sauce would have been better. The tomato sauce just had a harsh sour/canned taste. The calzone itself was DELICIOUS! I made mine as instructed in the recipe but had to leave out olives and mushrooms for the rest. Very good, thanks!

Beef and Barley Soup III
Good but I would have like a little more spice or herbs. I used left over brisket which worked great. Loved all the vegies! Wish I had had the browning sauce but I didn't. Good recipe!
