Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary

Man! Was this good!!! Loved it!!! I only baked two but used the same amount of liquid! I also threw in a clove of garlic inside the cavity of the hen. I added some chicken stock to the bottom of the pan so the garlic didn't burn! I might have cooked it an extra 10 minutes because it didn't reach 180 at the suggested time!! The result was delicious, worthwhile hen that I would make again!

Japanese Chicken Wings

the sauce tasted good, very similar to Teriyaki sauce. I followed other reviewers suggestion to bake the wings instead of frying. But I think that the time they recommended was WAY too long. My wings turned out dried. I would only bake it for 35 mins at 375 and then baste sauce and bake for another 25 mins.

Pot Stickers Traditional

Taste like the authentic pot stickers that I grew up with when I was a kid. The only change i made was added a little sherry to it. I also wrapped it with potsticker (round) wrappers rather than wonton wrappers. I made a dip, using 2 Tb soy sauce, 2 Tb water, 1 Tb rice wine vinegar, green onions, ginger & sesame oil. Really good! I would fry the bottoms of the pot stickers til it browns on bottom, throw in about 3-4 Tb of water, put lid on and it's ready when the water are all absorbed. I will try it next time boiling it, like I remembered when I was a kid.

Chicken Breasts with Herb Basting Sauce

Fantastic!!! I used bone in and skinless chicken breast. I marinated it in the olive oil/herb for about 1 1/2 hours. Baked at at 425 for about 30 minutes and took the foil off and baked it for another 10-15 minutes. Keep basting for moist chicken. Great combination of spices and smelled delicious while it is cooking

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Fried Rice with Cilantro

Not bad. A nice change from the typical Chinese fried rice. It has a slight sweet taste to it and reminds me of Thai fried rice alot. I dig the flavors of the baail in the rice. Worth a try!

Jay's Jerk Chicken

I marinated this overnight and broiled it 10 minutes per side instead of grilling. I really don't mind the marinate but this definitely is not the typical jerk taste. The seasonings reminded me of adobo. I would definitely use a dry rub if you wanted a more authentic taste of jerk chicken

Chicken Tikka Masala

OMG..This is divine!!! I was really skeptical about the recipe but this is simply delicious. I marinated my chicken overnight using the ingredients listed but I substituted 5 tsp garam masala for the spices & only 1/2ts salt. Broiled the chicken on the skewer for about 10 minutes. Cook the sauce as instructed but I also added some garam masala in the sauce (1tsp cumin, 1tsp paprika & 1 1/2 tsp garam). Excellent over rice...still yearning it again

My Crab Cakes

It was OK..I guess there is something about the taste of can crabmeat. I did make a mistake of double breadcrumbing it. And I also baked it. Maybe next time, I will try it with more crabmeat and frying it, rather than baking it.
