Best Brownies

Delicious! But probably too sweet. I'd try reducing the sugar. 1 cup of sugar is a lot!!

The Best Lemon Bars

Perfectly tart and sweet. Instead of squeezing two lemons, I used 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice that I already had frozen. I would add a little more next time. It was a little too gooey and sticky the next day - best if eaten fresh.

Fig Preserves

I've never made figs before so I didn't know what to expect. The taste of the preserved figs is delicious. So sweet, a great topping to toast. However, I expected the consistency to be like that of jam - nice and thick. The figs were whole, but they sat in an extremely runny sticky syrup. This is still a delicious recipe, but just be warned, that the end result is whole figs in a sweet syrup, not a "set" jam.

Potato Leek Soup III

Delicious! I didn't peel my potatoes because I like the added color/texture. I added garlic to the leeks, and only used half the butter and cream called for. It is plenty rich with only half! I also partially blended it all up with an immersion blender leaving some potato chucks still whole. Definitely not a bland potato leek soup!

Roasted New Red Potatoes

Yummy! 450 was the perfect temperature. I left them in the oven a little longer and the potatoes were nice and crispy on the outsides and so fluffy and smooth inside! I added parsley, rosemary and parmesan cheese (cheese added the last 10 minutes). Delicious potatoes!
