I have never baked before but this recipe was very easy and my friends LOVED them! I agree that they taste a little bland but I made one batch with marshmallow fondant and another with buttercream icing and they were delicious. I can't wait to make some more :)

Lemon Cream Cupcakes

So delicious! These cupcakes were very moist and tasty and had the perfect amount of lemon. I subbed applesauce for butter (1/2 volume) and cut the amount of lemon juice in the frosting in half since other reviews mentioned it was runny, and they turned out perfect. I will definitely be making these again!

Chocolate Cupcakes

These cupcakes were fantastic! I reduced the sugar to 1 cup and added 1/4 tsp of orange extract and the result was a perfect balance between moist and crumbly, and the orange complemented the chocolate so well. I will definitely make this my standard chocolate cupcake recipe.
