Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
This is a great and simple cheese ball. I only had colby jack cheese on hand and walnuts instead of pecans. The flavor is delicious! I will make this again and again. I know some have complained about there being too much ranch, but just add it to taste and problem solved!

Penne with Chicken and Pesto

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
Yum! This recipe was so delicious, I couldn't stop myself from getting more and more! My kids loved it, which is always a plus. I used regular milk instead of cream, and added artichoke hearts and mushrooms. I like spicy, so I added some crushed red peppers to my plate as well. This was fantastic and I'll make this again and again!

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
This recipe was delicious! We loved it and will be adding it to our arsenal. I used a whole package of bacon (12oz.) and added some fresh chopped tomato along with the parsley. This was just a really good meal and not difficult. Yum!

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
These pretzels are amazing. I've already passed the recipe on to several friends. The only thing I did different was half the baking soda and water solution because it seemed like a lot that didn't get used in the end. We topped some with parmesan, salt, sugar, and even co-jack cheese. Delicious and we'll be making again soon!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
This soup was so good. I left out the corn and beer but the flavor was magnificent! You gotta have a little scoop of sour cream on top and then it's perfection!

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
I decided I'd better try making real cranberry sauce at least once. This recipe is so good. I followed some of the other suggestions and used half white and half brown sugar. Also, I did 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup orange juice. I decided to use a potato masher and got rid of most of the chunks. This cranberry sauce tastes wonderful and will be a staple at holidays from now on!

Macaroni and Cheese V

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
This recipe was pretty good. I thought a whole onion was too much and added less than half, it was still too strong. My little guy didn't like it much and he loves mac and cheese. I used 1 1/2 cups colby jack cheese and another half cup of 3 cheese italian blend and parmesan that I had on hand. I also did not have dry mustard and it didn't seem to affect the overall taste. I will make this again but will omit the onions.

Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
This apple crisp was so delicious, and easy! I did substitute half a cup of the white sugar for brown sugar as someone previously suggested and it was very tasty. I used jonagold apples which were a little tart and tasted wonderful in this dish. It was perfect and I plan to whip it up whenever I feel like because it was just so easy.

Newport Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
This chowder was very good. I did change a few things though. I added bacon and only 2 tablespoons of butter instead of a half cup. I added two cans of chicken broth and filled one of the empty cans with half and half and that was plenty of liquid. I used two cans of minced clams in the juice and half a bottle of clam juice. This was very good and I will make it again!

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
I loved this recipe for raisin bread. I never think there are enough raisins when I buy the bread at the store, so this was my chance to add more! I added about a quarter cup more than the recipe calls for and it wasn't too overwhelming at all. I can't wait to heat up a slice and it it for breakfast! This recipe did make three loaves, so I had some extras to give away!

Ratatouille Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
I loved this recipe, I wanted to eat just the vegetables! I think I would have preferred it without the ravioli, or maybe a different kind of pasta. But the flavor of the veggies all together was very tasty.

Chicken and Dumplings IV

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
This recipe is wonderful. I thought it was easy and delicious! Instead of water I used chicken broth and I think next time I will use an extra 2 cups or so because I didn't think it had enough liquid. I also added carrots and celery. It was a huge hit and I can't wait to make it again!

Spinach Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
this recipe was not a big hit w/ my family. I thought there was too much ricotta, and I would use white onions instead of green. Maybe add some pinto beans or something. it was just missing something. I don't think i would make this again.

Weekend Brunch Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
My family enjoyed this recipe a lot. I used bacon instead of sausage. I kind of thought the eggs were too overwhelming, so next time I would only use half the eggs, and maybe spread some cream cheese over the crescent dough. I think I would even use frozen shredded hash browns next time. Other than that it was delicious and I would definitely make it again.

I loved this dish, and so did my family. I made it for a bbq, so delicious. I left out the olives though and it still tasted wonderful. I will definitely make it again.
