When I became vegetarian, there were no veggie burgers ready-made in stores.
Through trial and error, I learned to make some good ones and always on lookout for different ways to make.
My favorite things to cook
Baked goodies; brownies, cakes, pies, cookies. Simple vegetable dishes; stir fries, cassiroles. Most recipes are vegan-able!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Variation on a Thanksgiving favorite; stuff a squash with my favorite stuffing. Vegans can have whatever they want, no limits like with the heavy meat, dairy and egg based dishes.
My cooking triumphs
Using whole ground flax seeds to replace eggs in all baking recipes; these include pancakes, brownies, birthday cakes. They turned out great, fluffy and thick. (used to have flat pancakes--not anymore!)
My cooking tragedies
Not using Dreena's mac & cheese vegan recipe, I tried another that my boys didn't like as much.
