Salmon with Brown Sugar Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
This was delicious. I love salmon so I'm always looking for ways to prepare it. This was simple to make and kept the flavor of the glaze. We put it atop a lightly greased broiler pan (a little water on bottom pan to help steam it) and it baked for about 11 min's. We also used a d.j. mustard with 'honey' in it which was a compliment to the brown sugar...Yum.

Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2012
I am rating the actual recipe WITHOUT all of the tweaks the other reviewers have suggested. Let me just say right off, I made these twice b/c the first time, I screwed up. Not Kelly (the recipe poster), not the ingredients listed, not my oven but me. I realized (as I was making the 2nd batch) that I did not put in the correct amount of flour and I also used a 'natural/organic' peanut butter that was very oily, tacky, and sticky so already not having enough flour, that type of PB made things worse. I saw where another reviewer said hers was sticky as well - maybe she did what I did? Regardless, I made it exactly the way the recipe called for the 2nd time around and it turned out perfectly. The dough was "dry and stiff" like Kelly said it would be; I even added "water as needed" just as Kelly suggested to do; I did everything spot on. These treats look and feel just like regular store bought dog treats do except I know where all the ingredients came from and what's in them. Most importantly, my dogs love them. My advice, follow the exact recipe and they'll turn out just fine. (I will post pics of what the dough should look like before hand & of the treats after baking)

Crispy Fish

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
Was very good and crunchy for oven baked fish. We were looking for a light fish recipe - didn't want to fry it - and this hit the spot.

Pumpkin Roll II

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
Twice, I tried making the cake without it cracking when I rolled it - and both times it was a disaster. The third try, I used essentially the same recipe but replaced the baking soda with baking powder (at the suggestion of another reviewer) - then it was fine. If anyone has this problem, go with the baking powder instead. The cream was delicious though...good luck!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
This is delicious! One thing I do differently is mix the brown sugar and ketchup and put that on top. I use make-shift foil handles and pull out the loaf that way and the topping stays put!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
Not a fan. It had a weird after-taste to it. Not sure if that was from the roasting process or the mixture. Won't be trying again.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
This is AWESOME! The best zucchini bread I've ever had by far! I made this recipe twice, the 1st time I goofed and only used one somewhat big loaf pan and the mixture was just to heavy and didn't cook entirely through. But, it was still good (I just cut out the part that didn't cook). I also tried someone's suggestion of using half white and half brown sugar - it was wonderful. The next time, I used THREE 8x4 bread tin pans and they all cooked through perfectly and tasted delicious! I prefer this recipe without alterations but it is still delicious with half brown/white sugar as well. (My husband LOVES this bread too, which says a lot b/c he's finicky!!)

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
This was GREAT! My hubby loves pumpkin pie and said this was the best he's ever had - that was the first time I ever made the pie (now, I'm an old pro)! I just put all the ingredients in my cuisinart to blend everything consistently before pouring in pie crust. This is foolproof, you cannot go wrong with this recipe.
