Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2013
Great recipe - thank you for posting. After making several times, I took other reviewers suggestions to double both pumpkin and peanut butter and omit salt. It makes the dough perfect consistency. I cover dough I am not rolling out with a wet paper towel to keep moist. Today I poked each biscuit with a fork several times on both sides to keep biscuits from puffing up like a balloon - worked well only after discovering poking had to be on both sides! These are better than store bought!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2013
This is delicious! I make exactly as is and sometime throw in a can of black beans. Always have to make more tortilla strips - can be made quickly by spraying tortillas with canola oil and cutting with scissors. To make seasoned strips, sprinkle with garlic powder and cumin. Good toppings for soup are cheese and avacodo.Thank you for this great recipe!

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2012
First question: Does anyone have experience freezing this dish? We make this frequently seasoning chicken with Montreal Chicken seasoning and add shredded carrots, onion and garlic that I saute before mixing all the ingredients together. Top with a bit of chicken and double to crumb topping. My teen son practically eats the whole dish!

Garlic Roasted Chicken and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2012
This is probably one of the best chicken dishes I have tried from this website! It is absolutely yummy! I only had drumsticks so I used 12. Also sprayed the top of the mixture with cooking spray before popping in the oven because I couldn't seem to coat everything evenly. After I removed it from the oven, I mashed the garlic and added some of the broth from the pan to make it the consistency of a thick gravy which I then poured over the chicken. Thank you DebiMcG for a simple, delicious meal!

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2012
Absolutely delicious! I was hesistant to try with the cottage cheese but I prefer this flavor over ricotta cheese. I inadvertently used 1 TB Italian seasoning and 2 TB sugar but flavor was still fantastic. This is a keeper! When combining the cottage cheese, egg & Parmesan, I used a potato masher to get the lumps out of the cheese (so the kids/husband wouldn't figure out the different ingredient!). I also tossed in some parsley for color to that mixture. Thank you RBLAIR for the great recipe!

Lap Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
Delicious! Have made as written and with changes. This is a nice switch from mayo based salads. I have subbed about 2 TB sesame for part of the oil and used rice vinegar as other reviews suggested - this is my preference. Have also used raw sunflower seeds instead of almonds and added shredded carrot and orange/red sweet peppers for a nice splash of color. Thanks threecats for a good recipe!

Creamy Blue Cheese Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
Very good - thick and well suited for salads and as a dip for buffalo chicken wings. Sometimes I make as written; other times I add a nice amount of fresh cracked black pepper.

Very tasty! Followed as written - delicious and nice presentation - the dressing was 'pretty' and went well with a ham dinner. Dressing has a nice zip to it!

BLT Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
DELICIOUS! I grilled a whole boneless chicken breast that I pounded thin and liberally seasoned with Montreal Chicken seasoning. Let it cool, then cubed and tossed with other ingredients. For ease of preparation I used the precooked, crumbled bacon by Hormel and diced up grape tomatoes instead. Also added large crunchy croutons. This is a keeper!

Apple Pie Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
I followed recipe as written and ended up with a mess. Muffins did not rise, just spilled over top of pan and the topping baked on the pan making it impossible to get muffins out in one piece. I ended up with chunks. Irritating waste of ingredients and time.

Mom's Coleslaw

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
I followed some other reviews and halved recipe for a bag of shredded cabbage/carrots. Ended up having to make a bit more dressing. All told I probably used 3/4 the amount of dressing. Also, added 1/2 tsp each celery seed, salt and fresh cracked pepper to dressing but it tasted delicious without.

Pumpkin Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
Awesome! Today I made 4 different recipes using zucchini and this was the best! The pumpkin and zucchini pair well and the spices are just the right blend. Because I had so much extra zucchini I upped the zucchini to 1 3/4 cups and it was perfect! I am going to freeze zucchini to be able to bake this with fresh pumpkin this fall. Thanks Pat for a great recipe!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2010
I have used this for awhile now but my cookies do not look near as pretty as the pictures you see of decorated sugar cookies. Can someone share some tips on how to get that look - is it spread or piped on while in a very thin consistency?

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
Delicious! Like others I used it as a base. I used all of the listed ingredients but substituted a rounded tsp of ground cloves for the whole cloves. Also, I seeded my tomatoes and left skins on. Then I chopped them, the onion and two garlic cloves in a food processor. Cooked as stated then cooled and pureed in blender as I did not want to throw anything away. The only additional ingredient I added was fresh dill. I added the entire sleeve (outside of sleeve reads .66 oz/18 grams). I like the taste of fresh dill and got the idea from another recipe posted on this website.

Croutons

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
Delicious! I used a loaf of Costco's Fresh Garlic Bread and half butter/half olive oil; cubed the bread and put it in a large bowl; drizzled butter and olive oil on top and gently tossed with a spatula. After they were spread out on cookie sheet, I sprinkled grated parmesan cheese. We snacked on them - they never made it to the salad or gazpacho!

Cream of Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
Delicious! Read other reviews and doubled the spices except for salt. I used low sodium/no msg chicken broth and only added 1/2 tsp salt to the recipe. Also, added 2 TB brown sugar with other spices. This will surely be a staple at our house!

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
Very tasty! My son and husband both said it was a "make again!" I used thin pork loin chops (boneless). Before dipping in the milk/egg, I seasoned them with salt & pepper and then dipped them in the stuffing mix that I had crushed. Before I put them in the oven, I sprayed the tops with baking spray and then again after I flipped them. Because they were thinner, I baked them for 7 minutes each side. Yum Yum!

Easiest Teriyaki Marinade Ever

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
Delicious and easy! I added 2 large cloves of garlic (minced) to the marinade before marinading boneless chicken breasts for 3 hours. The biggest compliment came from my son who said the chicken tasted "just like the chicken at Chinese restaurants!"
