Slow Cooker Santa Fe Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2013
My husband loved this! I used Pace picante sauce - medium hot - and this seemed to solve the bland issue. He got out Tapitio sauce expecting to use it but he did not. He loved the taste. Used handmade corn tortillas, shredded cabbage, green onions and chopped tomatoes as toppings. Will make this again.

Flaky Food Processor Pie Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
This was a mess. The food process part of the recipe worked fine but rolling out this pie dough was a disaster. I followed the recipe exactly. The dough formed a ball but crumbled and stuck and fell apart when I tried to roll it out. I also wish the directions stated that this is a ONE pie crust recipe. Sheesh. I don't understand the 5 star rating.

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
This soup was sooooo good! Hubby loved it! Because I am a 'strong' taster, I cut back a bit on the spices but I'm sure using the full amount of spices will satisfy most people. Love this soup.

Spicy Chinese Barbeque Riblets

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
My husband LOVES this!! As do I. We had leftovers for another 2 nights and it was more delicious as the week went on. I made the recipe exactly as shown. So easy. The only difference is I had 3 lbs of pork riblets instead of the 2 lbs. There was definitely enough sauce for the extra pound. Thank you for sharing. My husband could not stop raving about this sauce.

Chile Garlic BBQ Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
We, too, are pretty picky about how our salmon is prepared. I thought I would try this since the reviews were so favorable. Made it exactly as the recipe except for the fresh ginger root as I did not have any. I used powdered ginger instead. Even with that change my husband announced that this recipe is a 'keeper'. Delicious!!

Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
My husband loved this soup. After reading the reviews I decided that this recipe is a bit timid on the spices. I doubled the onion and quadrupled the garlic. I think cumin is a neglected spice and you can't use too much of it. Coriander is also a spice that adds a lot flavor. 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder...........certainly not enough. Why use it at all with that amount? 4 stars since it is not the original but good none the less. Thank you for this recipe.

Carol's King Ranch Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
We loved this! I used flour tortillas and had no problem, tho I used only 10- 8" tortillas rather than 12. I also determined that 1/2 cup of the chicken broth created the right consistency of the soup mixture rather than a whole cup. It's a great left over. Will definitely make this easy-to-make casserole again!

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
The absolute best! I wouldn't change a thing. This ranks up there with the fish tacos we discovered in Jaco, Costa Rica that were out of this world. The family loved this recipe. Caution on the jalapeño if you are new to hot stuff.
