Chicken Crescent Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2014
This was yummy. I make a similar dish but tried it is his way to see which I'd like best. I make mine pot-pie style...layer of crescents rolls on bottom of dish, then chicken and other ingredients, layer the top with crescent rolls. I don't shred the chicken but cut it in halves. My way provides a crunchier pastry. All a matter of preference though! Loved the spin on it.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
I rarely stray from my own recipe but I had no oats on hand, so I tried this recipe since I had some Ritz in the cupboard. SOOOOOOO good. Probably the best meatloaf recipe I've ever tried and I loved that this recipe didn't call for sloppy bbq sauce topped all over the top so it doesn't dry out -- I cooked mine at a higher temp for a shorter period on convection and it was sooooo moist. LOVE IT!

Oma's Cottage Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
I've had a similar one before and it was amazing and I want to try this recipe myself, BUT can anyone tell me if it is the normal cottage cheese in a tub that I use or pressed cottage cheese? Help???

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
I was hesitant to make this at first because I used to HATE chunky sauces but I loved this! Amazing base recipe since I always add my own tweaks to tailor it for my family but jut awesome :-)

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
I'm giving this a 3 simply so I can meet somewhere in the middle. Despite what others had said about non-likers of brussels sprouts even liking these, I loathed them, however, my husband, who is a liker of these little guys, loved this recipe. All in all, apparently a great way to prepare this veggie for likers/lovers of brussels sprouts...not so much for those not fond of them.

Stir-Fried Chicken and Rice Noodles

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
This is a great recipe that is great as-is or as a base to a more complex recipe. For those that think the chicken is no flavourful enough even after marinating, it could be the brand or style of soy sauce you are using. I made this once with a high-quality reduced sodium brand and it was great. Another time I used regular (also good), but another time I had to use a cheaper brand of reduced sodium soy sauce and it tasted really weird and bland.

Chicken Meatballs and Spaghetti

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
I loved this recipe. My husband is Italian but gets really bad heartburn from red sauces so he was reluctant to eat this at first, but it didn't give him any heartburn (I did add about 1/4 milk and 1 tbsp. sugar to lessen the acidity). Even my sister who hates pasta and Italian food is asking me on a regular basis to invite her oven again for this dish! The chicken meatballs are amazing...it's like chicken parmesan but in meatball form...so yummy! I prefer this over beef meatballs any day!

Healthy Oat Peaches and Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
These muffins taste amazing. The only problem was that the recipe requires a leavening agent, or you need to use a bit more flour than stated in the recipe. The taste of these by far outweighs the lack of fluffiness -- my mother that HATES peaches loves these muffins!
