This is the only way I can eat pork BBQ now. I've had gastric bypass, and most bbq is WAY too fatty for me to eat. Using a tenderloin cut, with diet root beer, makes this a delicious meal for me and my family. I rub the tenderloin with fresh ground pepper, some garlic powder (or add in some fresh pressed garlic in the crock pot), and cover with root beer. I serve on buns, topped with cole slaw. This has been a hit with family, friends, and the men in my hubby's squadron. I get asked to make this again and again!
