Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
This recipe was good the first day..but REALLY GOOD the second day! I would definately make it the day before if I was taking it to a party. A definate four star, but not quite the big five star that I was hoping for.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
Absolutely the best muffins I ever tasted! I added a tinsy bit of vanilla, threw in some optional chocolate chips and walnuts and ohhhhhhh man...the best! Very moist!! I did use butter as the recipe called for and also made the crumb topping just as the recipe called for and had no problems at all. Incredible!! Recipe made exactly one dozen of very nice sized muffins. This recipe is a definate keeper!

Brownie Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
I really loved the texture of this cheesecake. Very dense, not as creamy. My family likes the creamy better like (Chantals) on this site. The brownie crust was a bit too hard, however, I believe that was my fault. As you can see in my picture, it was starting to brown around the edges. I should have taken it out sooner. All in all, I really liked this and will try to make it again sometime.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2009
One star because the batter tasted good. One star because they looked beautiful when done. BUT.... SO DECEPTIVE...They looked so pretty and didnt taste bad so I gave them to my daughter to take to a party with her teenage friends -who would normally eat anyyyything. By time they began to eat them (the same evening) they were HARD AS A ROCK!!! They were so bad that the kids were dropping them to hear how loud of a sound they made. No one ate them. But they had a lot of laughs with them. Not sure what I had done wrong. Oh well. On to the next best recipe.......

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
Everyone LOVED this!! Made with exact ingredients, but I did the waterbath separately with the pan of water on second shelf. I did have two very tiny cracks, but they made NO difference, it was still veryyy creamy and wonderful!! I was concerned that it may taste "eggy" as was reported in the lower ratings for this recipe, but that wasnt an issue at all, not even a hint of egg taste. I was also concerned that I didnt bake it long enough since it was a little wobbly still when I took it out of the oven, but after letting it cool, then spending the night in the fridge, it set up perfectly!!! Would definately make this again!!
