Fried Rice Restaurant Style

This was really good- the only changes I made was- I used 2 TBSP of Oyster Sauce in the end and used BRAGG- (NATURAL soya sauce sub. found at health food store) and used only 1 egg.

Oven Fresh Seasoned Potato Wedges

Used 2 Russet potaotes, one peeled and cut and one with skin on. Put them in the mic for a few min then tossed with everything- no bag- and placed on a olive oiled cookie sheet. Roasted for 25 min. Was ok.

Chicken and Rice Dinner

While browning chicken I sprinkled meat with garlic salt, paprika, and some pepper. Remove meat. fry onion, add soup and water- used basmati rice. then cooked 15 min. added steamed broccoli and cooked for another 10. Really tasty, ordinary family fare.

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

These turned out light and fluffy but it seemed to have a sour taste to it- I added 1 tbsp of yeast, was that too much? hmmmmm....Also I did make this in the bread machine, then shaped baked in the ooven, they didnt brown- maybe I took them out too quick?

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

This was soooo good- way better than store bought ones! I only used 1/3 brown sugar and 1/4 c white sugar, and only 1 egg. Fantastic! My son usually does not eat peanut butter but he did like this. Thank you for this recipe!

Best Tuna Casserole

I didnt have egg noodles so I used small shell pasta. As I boiled the pasta I sautee the onions in a bit of butter and oil- and then followed through with the rest of the recipe. I buttered a deep pie dish and was able to fit it in there-

Old Fashioned Rice Pudding

Was really tasty but it took forever to cook- I used a small saucepan but next time I will use a large one for more surface cooking. I just had some and it is quite tasty and I had to use a lot of milk to keep it nice and creamy. Forgot to add vanilla but still tasted great!

Clone of a Cinnabon

THE BEST! I cut the sugar from 1/2 to 1/3 and it was perfect. I only used 1/2 of the cinnamon and sugar mix. The topping was amazing!

Peppermint Patties

Its very rare that I give something 5 stars, but this one deserves it. I had lots of cottage cheese to use so I made one batch and that was eaten up so i decided to make another- will make again and again and again, also good to put jam on top if you run out of topping.

Mom's Best Macaroni Salad

This was too sweet for me- I prefer a tangy mac salad so after making this I tried to salvage it by mixing in 1/4 c vinegar/3 TBSP mustard/ 3/4 tsp Celery Seed. Next time I will make Classic Mac. Salad from this site- also a side note- I only used 1/4 can of sweetened cond. milk- and it was still too sweet!!

One-Dish Beef and Mushroom Skillet Dinner

Was o.k, but I did not have zucchini- but I did use fresh mushrooms. I tasted it BEFORE I added the diced tomatoes and it was fine, but when I added the tomatoes it was not. so next time I will not add the canned tomatoes.

Peach Raspberry Cobbler

Was ok- it did seem a little flavourless- I used refridgerator buscuits and that was great. I think I just would rather have plain jane peach cobbler. But thats just my opinion.
