Rempel Family Meatloaf

Love this meatloaf. i make this in my house in our monthly rotation. sometimes i use ritz crackers, other times i use Goldfish crackers....either way it comes out delicious!

Honey Walnut Shrimp

This is one of my husband's favorite recipes. Thank you so much for sharing. I use only 3 egg whites since the 4th egg white seems to make the batter taste too eggy. Also, I boil the walnuts with brown sugar instead of white sugar with a tablespoon of water. This way the brown sugar sticks to the walnuts and adds a little more of a caramelized appeal.

French Veal Chops

My husband loved this! I substituted the chicken broth with french onion soup base and omitted the parmasan cheese since we aren't cheese fans. Served with mashed potatos and used some of the sauce as gravy. Definitely will make again.

Baklava

Very good recipe and soo easy! I didn't double the syrup recipe and wish I had since I have a sweet tooth. I was afraid that it would have been too soggy, but it turned out great. I used pecans, walnuts, and hazelnuts.

Rump Roast Au Jus

I might not be accustomed to this particular type of meat, but it came out chewy. I did increase the water to 2 cups and added the instant french onion soup mix. I slow cooked for 10 hours. Probably won't make again.

Persimmon Bread II

I liked the bread, it just felt too heavy (too much oil) and very sweet. This after the recommendation to use brown sugar instead of white, and leave out the extra water. I will try to make it exactly as directed and see if it tastes better next time.

Persimmon Cookies II

Very moist delicious cookies. I added 1/2 cup of cranberries to the mix for a little sweeter taste and they came out perfect. Will definitely make again.

Baked Brie in Puff Pastry

Good start for a recipe. I usually add brown sugar and cranberries to the almonds and dust the puff pastry with butter and egg white as previously recommended. Turns out delicious!!

Salisbury Steak

My husband made this dish for me and guests. It needed alot of extra seasonings to make it taste good. It tasted too much like a hamburger patty and not the salisbury steak taste that I was used to.

Chicken Katsu

My husband loves this recipe! He says it tastes healthier than the ones from the restaurant. I usually cook this with japanese curry and rice and it turns out wonderful.

Spinach Brownies

Very good. I added some diced potates, cut the butter in half and added 1 more egg and it tasted wonderful. I should have added bacon as recommended by others.
