Baked Haddock

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
My family LOVES this recipe. I never seem to make enough. Make sure to put the fish on a wire rack inside of your pan, otherwise the bottoms get soggy. The fish is always flaky. This recipe is part of our "regulars" Thanks a bunch for sharing it.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2003
These cookies were so good! My son and I made them for a picnic and I had several people come up and ask me for the recipe. We didn't have any left to take home so we made another batch and froze half the batter for another time. I didn't change a thing except I didn't add walnuts. Thank You so much for sharing your recipe Debbi!

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2005
this recipe was wonderful. (make sure to use baking potatoes) I rubbed the skins of the potatoes with olive oil mixed with salt and pepper before baking-make sure to put a tray under them if you do this to catch the oil. I also added some garlic to the mashed mixure instead of onions. the leftovers were just as yummy the next day. Thanks for the great recipe!

Hockey Pucks

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
I absolutely love this recipe. I used chocolate almond bark instead of the chocolate chips. It seems to melt better for me and it reheats nicely when the bark starts to get hard. For a smooth coat just use a fork and after dipping, gently tap the side of your bowl. they are fabulous. My family has me make these every year.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
This pie was fabulous. I did add cinnamon between the layers of apples. Also like another review suggested, next time I will mix some of the sauce with the apples and then top off with the remainder. Everyone loved this pie! Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Chicken Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
This was a great recipe and very simple as well. Perfect for making after work during the week. The only change I made was using a bag of frozen mixed veggies since I didn't want to take the time cutting up fresh. My family loved it both my children (12 and 3) had seconds! thanks for the great recipe.

White Chili with Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
Wow! what a great recipe. I made a couple of modifications, I doubled the lime juice, used 2 tsp dried parsley, 1 tsp oregano, and I didn't have an peppers, so I used a can of diced chilies that I had. I didn't rinse one of the cans of beans to help thicken the base. The only thing I would do different is make a double batch so we could have left overs! Thanks for the great recipe.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
I tried this when I ran out of taco seasoning and already started making my dish, this was fabulous! I won't buy the premixed again. The only thing I did differently was that I used crushed red pepper instead of the flakes (didn't have the flakes on hand) It makes a decent amount, so I have some premixed for next time. I was surprised at how easy this was. Thanks a bunch

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
These bars were fantastic! I followed the advise of others and used 2 cans of pumpkin and added about 1 tsp of pumpkin spice. I didn't realize that I was almost out of the oil so only used 1/2 cup oil and added 1/2 cup applesauce. I reduced the sugar by 1/2 cup because of the applesauce. I baked them in 2 9 x 13 pans. I used the cream cheese frosting recipe from the pumpkin bars II recipe from this site and they tasted great. I got a lot of compliments on them.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
I really wanted to make a "fried" chicken recipe without all the oil. I didn't have any buttered flavored crackers so I just used saltines and a bit of flour mixed in. I added paprika, lemon pepper, garlic salt, and pepper to the cracker mixture. I realized after I had the chicken breaded that I was out of butter/margarine so I used some pam cooking spray instead(saved some more calories!!) . Just sprayed down the pan and the side of the chicken that was faced up. I flipped the chicken over a couple of times and put some more spray on as I went. I cooked them for about 50 minutes cause the chicken was very thick. It turned out crunchy and absolutely delicious. my family LOVED it. my husband actually told me I could make this every day if I wanted. Thanks for a great base recipe.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
This was a good recipe. I added an extra can of tomatoes to make more sauce. I had to cook my chicken longer because I used thick breasts. The only other thing I did differently was add about 2 tablespoons of cornstarch mixed with cold water to thicken the sauce. My family loved this served over angel hair pasta. This was a quick and easy recipe.

Sandy's Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
My family LOVED this recipe. This is the second time I have made this. I did follow some advice of others when making this. I only had one can of cream of chicken so I used that and one can of cream of mushroom soup. I added about 1/3 cup extra milk, about 1 1/2 cups of frozen mixed veggies, couple dashes of pepper and oregano. I baked at 350 for 40 minutes covered with tinfoil (stirring after 20 minutes) then removed the foil, stirred again, topped with 3/4 c of the cheese and baked again for another 15-20 minutes. It turned out perfectly. The noodles were cooked by doing this without the need to precook them. This is a great basic recipe that you can change to the likings of your family.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
Oh my goodness! These cookies are GREAT!!! They looked so beautiful coming out of the oven and tasted wonderful. I followed the recipe to the T (minus the sifting my 4 year old daughter "Stirred" it while I mixed the rest) and they were perfect. I usually find a way to mess up chocolate cookies so this is now my go-to recipe.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
Let me tell you my husband was very skeptical at first. He couldn't understand why we weren't just having tacos. But the entire family LOVED it (my husband said this definitely worth the extra steps to make). I did use 2# of meat and 8 oz of cream cheese so that I could use the entire package of jumbo shells. I also couldn't find my chili powder so I used 1 package of taco seasoning instead. Other wise I didn't double anything else. It fit snugly in my 9 x 13 pan. The left overs were delicious the next day too. Thank you so much for the fabulous dish, I will definitely be making this again.
