Just thought I'd tell people about the leftovers from the Turkey Burgers.
So, I had a few burgers left, and put them in the fridge. Next day, I pulled a couple out for lunch -- one for me, one for my wife. I microwaved them, but before putting them in, I poured a little teryaki marinade on them, which gave them a nice flavor.
Rather than use a bun, I took some of the head of iceberg I use for sandwiches and such, and placed a slice of tomato in a leaf, put a little fat free mayo on the tomato, then sprinkled a little bit of chipotle chile pepper I have in my spices. On top of that
I placed the reheated turkey burger, and then I put a dab of dijon mustard on and closed the lettuce leaf over the whole thing. WOW!!!! That was BETTER than the burger I had the night before! Next time I grill these things, I'm going to brush some teryaki
marinade on as they grill, and will go bunless!
