Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
About this Cook
I am a college student.
My favorite things to cook
Anything easy, fast, cheap, healthy, and tasty.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We make lefsa at Easter.
My cooking triumphs
I've made several apple pies for my family and my boyfriend. ~*~ My mom has a recipe for Italian sausage tortellini soup that always turns out really, REALLY good. It usually goes pretty quickly.
My cooking tragedies
I came across a cookie recipe that called for a tablespoon of vanilla and made around 12 cookies. I don't know what they were thinking. One of my boyfriend's roommates asked if there was bourbon in them. Now I hear about my bourbon-cookies every time I bring cookies over. ~*~ One of my pie crusts went horribly, horribly wrong. I think may have added too much butter. I think it tastes really dry and icky, but my roommates are eating it and they think it's really good. Go figure. ~*~ My chocolate chip cookies are really good, but not as good as my boyfriend's. He hasn't realized this yet and I need to find a better recipe before he does. ~*~ Chicken is not my friend.

Smokin' Scovilles Turkey Chili
Excellent recipe! It has the perfect amount of spice. The spice combination is pretty much perfect. I gave it four stars because I didn't feel like the recipe had enough vegetables for the amount of meat. Next time I will add more. Probably an red bell pepper, some carrots and celery.

Slow Cooker Vegetable Chili
This recipe is excellent! It has a lot of flavor. I did alter it a bit, adding more of the things I like (like celery and garlic.) I also added corn and a pound of ground beef. It barely fit in my slow cooker! At first it appears as though there is not enough liquid, but as things start to cook down the chili gets a better consistency. It took 4-5 hours on high, but only because the carrots take so long to get soft. I WILL be making this one again!

Avocado, Tomato and Mango Salsa
Best salsa I have ever had!! I will make it again! It's fruity, but still spicy. My friend and I made it for a movie night and the only person who said they didn't like it didn't actually try it. :P
