Kyle's Favorite Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
wow-this was far too much work for beef stew! and yes i have been cooking from scratch for years. i am going to dig and find my beef stew "guide" and put it on here. this one is going to have to come out tasting just extraordinary, for me to ever do this again. way too much work for a simple dish.

End of the Line Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
I REALLY liked this! I did not "tweak" it too awful much-but I did toss in the green beans that were leftover from Thanksgiving, too! I put 'em in after the potato layer. They were just simple green beans, cooked with bacon pieces&onion...used cream of mushroom soup, too. It was even better the next day! Thanks, it was great!

Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
this recipe was awesome! made it on a cold icky sunday afternoon...it turned out wonderfully. all the ingredients on hand-except for the nuts i could have sworn i had!! instead of the nuts i mixed a couple handfuls of butterscotch chips in with the brown sugar...and that tasted great! i too took some of the reviewer's advice and cut back on the lemon juice&added some vanilla to the cream cheese filling. hubby took the rest of it to work monday to keep it out of my reach (i'd asked him to, lol); it was gone in no time. thanks for this recipe!

Easy Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
i made this pork last night for supper...mmm! my hubby&i really liked it, the pork was tender and not at all dry-even though i had to cook it nearly an hour longer than suggested! it took 2 hours for a 2 pound pork roast to reach internal temperature-and i jacked the oven up to 350, after a little more than an hour! and no i didn't open the oven, etc...i'm thinking my oven may be a bit off or something. but anyway-we LOVED the meat and the sauce too! i made mine in a glass casserole covered tightly with foil. and i WILL fix pork roast again this way! thanks!

Caramel Nougat Bar Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
this is a great holiday time recipe that i've known as "santa surprise" cookies-my middle daughter (26 years old!) wants 'em for her birthday in february every year instead of a cake! i use bite size snickers in 'em...and drizzle each with a bit of melted chocolate. mmm! :) they are always a hit.

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
this is truly a wonderful brownie recipe-i've been using one very very close to this one for years, and ALWAYS get rave reviews about 'em. the only difference in my recipe is, that you only put half the chocolate chips into the sugar/butter/water after boiling along with the vanilla; then after you've stirred&gotten the chips melted smooth, added the eggs(one at a time)and the flour mixture, put in the rest of the chips&can add nuts too, if desired. this makes the chips sort of "stand alone" during&after the baking process. you get yummy munches of chocolate chips when you're eating brownie! :) excellent recipe.
