Best Baked French Fries

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2013
They were very good. I only gave 4 stars because mine weren't crispy. Maybe I didn't dry them enough or it could be that there was too much oil. I will try them again for sure.

Mine didn't have enough of a kick and I missed the dijon mustard.

Easy, Dynamite Cauliflower Curry

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2013
I used shredded cheddar as that was all I had. Maybe that was my problem. Also, I cut the curry amount in half and still the curry was a little over dominant. I don't think I will be making this again.

Condensed Milk Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2013
it was pretty good. I had some espresso powder I wanted to use up so I added a teaspoon of that. I was looking for a recipe to use up one square of baking chocolate so I changed the servings. Now I have a half can of sweetened condensed milk to use up. Any suggestions?

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2013
The only change I made was using mozzarella instead of the cheddar.....and it was delicious. Oh, I also used 4 cloves of garlic in my adjusted recipe for 2 servings. This is definitely a keeper. Easy, quick, and tasty. My husband usually scrapes any toppings off foods but when he heard it was garlic and butter he tasted it and said it was good.

Lemony Garlic Shrimp with Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
These shrimp were outstanding....so good that we ate them without any pasta and I just served mashed potato and a salad for the accompaniment as we had had pasta 4 nights this week. I did not soak them in the brine. Instead I put them in the fridge to thaw the day before and then I added water and kosher salt for just a few minutes while I removed the tails. Very delicious shrimp. I used double the amount of garlic and sprinkled generously with parsley

Jeannie's Kickin' Fried Fish

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
Very yummy! I followed the recipe exactly and will make this again. Next time I may try a little hot sauce in the egg and milk to spice the fish up even more. I used Haddock and it does cook very quickly. I chilled the coated fish for one hour prior to frying.

Ham Salad II

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2013
Excellent ham salad recipe. I didn't have any peppers so I added extra celery and I used red onion....definitely will use all my leftover baked ham slices for this ham salad. Makes a great lunch. I put everything in my mini-processor and only used half the mayo.

Broccoli Salad with Margarita Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
I did not have romaine so I used a combo of baby spinach and arugula. I omitted the mushrooms and substituted parsely for cilantro as I do not like cilantro and I LOVE parsely. I doubled the grape tomatoes because of the omission of mushrooms. This dressing was superb! It is in the fridge chilling right now but I had to taste it as soon as it was done and OH MY! So good!

Simple Sicilian Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
It was a little oily for my taste so I added a little additional balsamic and then it seemed kind of flavorless. I don't expect to be making this again.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2012
I had a cup of pumpkin that I needed to use up so went searching. These were moist and sweet and easy to make. I was glad that I did not do the streusel topping as the muffins are very sweet as is and it saves the extra steps and calories. You don't need the topping unless you have a really really sweet tooth.

Oven Fried Potatoes I

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2012
I used precooked bacon and it worked perfectly. No grease! Just enough flavor. I only used one tablespoon of butter. I baked it at 375 degrees because I was cooking italian sausage in the same oven. After 45 minutes everything was cooked but I did put the potato dish under the broiler for a few minutes. Not really necessary with the precooked bacon though.
