Candy Red Apple Martini

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
This is one of my favorite martinis--add some caramel syrup to the rim of the glass--a bit sticky but tasty! Or you can even swirl some caramel syrup in the bottom of the glass before pouring the martini in--mmmmmm! Also try throwing in a Maraschino cherry.

Sour Cream Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
After seeing all the reviews that said this was "meatloafy"--I was a bit hesitant to make. I finally gave in and thought we'd try them. One word...FAB-U-LOUS!!!! This had to be the most juicy, moist burger I've ever had. The texture was wonderful and they tasted fantastic. I used onion/mushroom dry soup mix b/c that's all I had. I didn't think it had a meatloaf taste AT ALL and they stayed together just fine. Thanks for sharing!

Old-Fashioned Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
My family and I really enjoyed this recipe. I loved the sweet taste of the shortcake and it was very moist. The only thing I changed was I used skim milk in place of the cream (didn't have any). It was delicious! The kids even ate some WITHOUT the strawberries!

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2012
This is such a delicious, refreshing dip. I make it for all of my get-togethers and everyone loves it! I use Oscar Meyer real bacon bits and I mix the tomato right in with everything and let it set for a few hours. Serve with crackers or bagel chips!

North Carolina-Style Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
***** (5 extra stars!) This was the best pork BBQ I've had!! I tried it out on an experienced group of food testers (my family!) and they ALL agreed that this was wonderful! (ok, my 11 yr old son said it was "THE BOMB!!!"). I used a 4-5 lb. boneless pork roast (it was on sale!) and marinated it in the rub (I also added liquid smoke) for about a day and a half. I then put it in the crockpot with about 1/2 cup of water & let it cook for 10 hrs. It just fell apart and was so delicious! For the sauce--I also cut down on the vinegar to 1 cup and used the watery drippings in the bottom of the crock pot for the water that is required. I also added a few squirts of liquid smoke. I will be stocking up on pork roasts to make this more often!!!!! GREAT RECIPE-Thanks!

Cream Cheese, Garlic, and Chive Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2010
I was on this site looking for a bnls chicken breast recipe...something different from what I usually make. When I came across this one it sounded awesome so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did! This is a recipe that you could go nuts modifying! I used regular bacon...baked for about 10 minutes on a baking sheet. I then put the butterflied chicken breasts (I used 6 small) on the same baking sheet with the drippings from the bacon. I seasoned the chicken with granulated garlic, herbs, Adobo, and salt. I filled the breasts with a mixture of cream cheese, 2 jalapenos (seeded and chopped) and about 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese. I then wrapped each breast with 2 slices of bacon and baked for about 35 minutes. OMG...we LOVED this and will definitely be making again. My daughter had the leftovers for breakfast!!

Sunshine Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
Oh wow...this was GOOOOOD! It was quick, easy, and delicious! PERFECT for a busy mom such as myself. I didn't make too many changes...I used honey because I didn't have any corn syrup and I added a little more garlic and a dash of liquid smoke (hickory). My kids LOVED this. I will definitely make again. Thanks!

Chicken Lasagna Alfredo

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
I thought this was absolutely delicious. It was a definite great alternative to regular lasagna. My 12-year-old son was a bit turned off by the way it looked ("WHITE lasagna mom????") but he ate up every bite that was on his plate! I will be making this again and again. Thanks!!

Bob's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
These were AWESOME!! I made these for friends we had over the other night and between four of us we ate 36 of these suckers!! I didn't use onion--just to save me a little time (but will use it next time to taste the difference). I used canned lump crab meat (2-6oz. cans), mixed my mozzarella right into the crab/breadcrumb mixture and poured one cup of butter over mushrooms before cooking. Incredibly easy and amazingly delicious I will be making these again soon!

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
OMG...these were SO AWESOME!!! I was a little hesitant when I first heard about these. But my family and I love green veggies so I thought I'd give it a shot. Boy am I glad I did!! These did not last long at all...they were gone in a flash. My 13 and 15 yr olds LOVED them, which surprised me because my 13 yr old can be very picky. My hubby, who said "I don't know about these" was heard in the kitchen crunching on seconds and thirds!! I used a buttery "Pam" spray and sprinkled some garlic herb seasoning and a little salt on them. Wow, I am craving them right now!!
