Grandma's Rhubarb Torte

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
This was my first rhubarb recipe, and it was pretty good! However, I didn't like the topping, and instead would suggest using whipped cream. The pie itself was definitely good, though. For a more traditional pie taste for those who may have never had rhubarb before, add a little more sugar to the recipe and vanilla extract.

Quick Cheesy Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
This was OK, but not the greatest. I would suggest finely chopping, not processing the vegetables. I would also add garlic.

Sausage Swirls

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
This was pretty good, but I agree with leaving out cornmeal. I kinda made this a quicker recipe by using canned biscuits and rolling them together and cooking the sausage before rolling. Then I rolled it up and put it in the oven. This version was incredible with the flaky biscuits. This really is a great recipe (minus the cornmeal), I just needed something a little faster.

Detroit Hot Honey Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
These were incredible. We had them for a recent football game party. Although we had too much sauce left over, there were no wings left. I've already requested that my husband make them again for the next game.

Grandma's Cranberry Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2008
I love this stuff! I used to have it as a kid and couldn't find the right recipe for years. However, now I have it and made it at least three times since I found it last year. It's so good and not too bad in the health department. No changes required.

Garlicky Baked Butternut Squash

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
This was really good! I micro'd the squash for 5 minutes, and it made peeling and dicing a breeze. The only thing I added, by accident, was 1 tbsp. dry green chile rub. I live in New Mexico, so it's easy to come by. It turned out fantastic! Mine cooked in about 35 minutes.
