Made these for a superbowl party LIKE 8 MONTHS AGO...made them again for a party last weekend and before people even started eating them, they said "OH MY GOD, ARE THESE THE SAME MEATBALLS YOU MADE FOR THE SUPERBOWL PARTY??!!" It felt pretty good that they remembered the meatballs from 8 months ago!! :)

I think i have spoiled my guests with too many good recipes...now i just get "that was good, it always is"....i made this gumbo last night to let the flavors 'get happy' over 24 hrs...served it tonight and people were literally slurping the juices off their plate....everyone said it was the best dish i have ever made! left out shrimp and doubled chicken and sausage...and it could have even used a little more meat than that (but we're big meat eaters)...used Hillshire Farms hot smoked sausage and it worked very well. **Update 11/12/08** My friends are still talking about this dish on a regular basis, begging me to make again. Served it to my family recently and all said "restaurant quality". Its a lot of work, but its so worth it when everyone makes such a big deal!! :) :)

The biggest food hit at my party! I did double the jalapenos and although people commented that it was spicey, they also couldn't stop eating it. I would definitely recommend baking it (I did..can't imagine microwaving it)...and I served mine with toasted french bread slices. i had 1 1/2 loaves of the long skinny french bread and ran out of bread..people were still putting it on whatever they could find (tortilla chips..or a SPOON) but next time I will make sure i have enough bread, cause that was definitely better. Everyone wanted the recipe, one lady literally CORNERED ME for the recipe...can't wait to make again! Only thing i'll do different next time is mix half the cheese into the spread...although it was delicious, it did create a crust that was a little too thick and i noticed people were digging under the crust for the good stuff.

Finally, a breakfast casserole without bread! I've been looking for you! I was a smidgeon worried the lack of bread would take away from the meal, but it absolutely does not. And it is great to switch up with all different kinds of insides...I leave out the olives, just because I don't like them...my favorite is sausage instead of ham, then adding chopped green peppers and 3/4 a can of Rotel diced tomatoes with chilies on top. Yummy!

Well, i thought that this was very good and i loved the presentation when served in a little pumpkin...but i'm only giving it 4 stars, because nobody else at the party seemed to think it was as good as i did. you know, they had a bite here or there, but i didn't hear any rave reviews and after the party, i ended up throwing most of it away :( i thought it tasted like fluffy bites of pumpkin pie! of course, i really, really love pumpkin pie, maybe that's the difference!

when the country style pork ribs are on sale at food lion, i stock up for this recipe! i've made these several times...one time, i accidently let them boil in the pot for too long (it was like, a little over an hour) and i worried that i ruined them, but THEY WERE SO TENDER, THEY FELL APART. Literally, the bones slip right out of them and they shred a little, but we love them that way. Now i always boil them for a little over an hour. Also, of course the bbq sauce can make or break this recipe -so far, i like Sweet Baby Ray's the best!

Okay, made these according to directions...and i only have 1 irk that led to me making this 4 stars...everything was very good and tender, but if you very thinly slice the potatoes, so that they cook all the way...they actually start to fall apart into the sauce...which tasted DELICIOUS...BUT i look for recipes for my potato loving husband that i can pick/pull the potatoes out of for my carb sensitive diet...and there was definitely no not eating the potatoes, unless you SCRAPPED the sauce off and then, how delicious is naked pork chops? Otherwise, fantastic, just thought I could eat it carb friendly-ish and you really can't...but maybe that's just me.

My first ever cheesecake and it was fantastic! Dad thought the gingersnaps in the crust really made the difference. Searched lots of pumpkin cheesecake recipes, but i really loved the presentation of the marbled affect. Plus, i liked how this recipe had "cheesecake parts" and "pumpkin cheesecake parts" instead of just mixing it all together. It did crack...I'll try a water bath next time, but I cut off the heads of some flowers and stuck them in the crack, just for initial presentation and it was beautiful and autumny!

I was unable to go visit my husband's family with him for the holidays, so I sent him with bags of cookies for all his relatives. I was initally afraid to include these cashew cookies because I did overcook them a little (BEWARE..I started off with 12 min. and they were def. overdone. Next time I will start checking them after about 9 1/2 min. They were dry the first night but seemed to soften up over the next couple days. But I was glad I did include them...they were my dad's and both his parents' favorites in the whole bag!! (I had Award Winning Choc Chip, Big Soft Ginger Cookies and Peanut Butter Cup cookies, so that's saying a lot!!!) Also, next time I will put the frosting in a ziploc bag and cut the corner so I can squeeze/drizzle the frosting on...I had a really hard time spreading the frosting on and I had to make it really thick (a little too thick) for it to stick to the cookie and look nice. ALSO...the frosting doesn't look anything like the cookies in the "main photo"...i guess i didn't look at the other photos before i started and freaked out when my frosting was thick and white, more like cake frosting...not yellow-buttery looking glaze like the picture. But the frosting was still good and better than without it. I'd be interested in knowing what kind of glaze is on those cookies in the main picture.

YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY! The only thing i did differently was use half white sugar and half dark brown sugar and these were fantastic! These sweet potatoes and the Slow Cooker Stuffing (from this site also) were voted by everyone as the best things on the table. Huge hit, thanks for the recipe! I also liked that they didn't have to go in the oven...that oven was busy doing other things! Oh yeah, I also forgot to add the vanilla in the rush at the end, but they were fabulous anyway!!

The turkey was delicious and easy to prepare, but BEWARE THE COOKING TIME! Figuring the recipe said to cook a 12lb turkey for 4 hrs and one of the reviews said their 21lb turkey was done in 6 hrs, I planned my whole dinner around my 21lb turkey taking about 5 1/2 - 6 hours. After 4 1/2 hrs, I checked on the turkey to remove the foil and try to let it crisp a little the last hour and when I checked the temp, it was perfectly done! I panicked because the rest of the meal was still an hour away from being ready and because i hadn't removed the foil yet, the top of the bird was not brown at all...so i uncovered it and put it back in the oven to try to brown it and when i took it out a little while later, it was over done....the temp didn't even register on the thermometer! it was off the dial! It was still a very good turkey and pretty moist, but I don't think it was AS MOIST as it should have been.

Terrific! I also have a powerful micro, so I did the 2.5 min, added the nuts, 2.5 min, and then another 1.5...perfect! I couldn't believe how easy it was. I did get scared of how rock hard the candy was getting on my bowl and utensils, but followed the advice of another reviewer: boiled water and soaked everything for a few minutes and TA-DA! CLEAN! Made a peanut batch and a cashew batch..half the company said the peanuts were best, half said the cashews were best...but EVERYONE said it was totally addictive. Once you start, you have a hard time stopping!

made these for christmas and didn't care for them at all...ended up pretty much throwing the whole bowl away. followed the recipe exactly...they were very garlicky...too much for me and i love garlic.

Yummy, fun and EASY!

These were so easy to make and turned out so pretty! (plus gave me an excuse to buy the mini muffin pan :) For the holidays, I made bags of these, the Big Soft Ginger Cookies, Cashew Cookies, and Award Winning Chocolate Chip cookies (all from this site) and these were the biggest hit and disappeared the fastest!

This has become one of my favorite chicken dishes! I've made it w/ and w/o the greek seasoning and it definitely "makes" the dish WITH the seasoning. I usually use regular white wine instead of the cooking wine and double the wine/mushroom sauce...YUMMY! Even my husband who complains that i make chicken too often really liked this one :)

I was a little skeptical because I had never tried Gouda cheese, but I got some in a Christmas basket, so I didn't want it to go to waste. YUMMMMMMMMMMMM! Pork chops are one of my least favorite meats, but I make them because my husband loves them...I have no problem making them more often with this recipe!!

So many good reviews, I was looking forward to trying this...neither my husband or I cared for these at all. The paprika seemed very overwhelming. :(

Holy smokes! I don't even like corned beef, I just made it cause' its one of my husband's favorites and I thought this was fantastic (he said it was the best he's ever had. He said it might be the best meal I've ever made!) I did mine in the slow cooker for about 9 1/2 hours, adding potatoes with 2 hours left and cabbage with a little over an hour left. I cut off the layer of fat from my brisket, I did use the seasoning packet, (even though some reviewers said not to?) and I used 2 bottles of beer to cover the whole thing. I was very skeptical..I don't like dark beer and its kind of pricey when I only needed 2 bottles....but it was WONDERFUL....those other 4 bottles will definitely be used when I make this again for St. Pat's company. AND SO EASY TOO!!!!!!!

The hit of my St. Pats party! Incredibly moist and delicious. I also poured glaze in pan and returned the cake to the pan to let it soak up the glaze. Absolutely perfect. Even my husband loved it and he doesn't usually like dessert that doesn't have chocolate in it!
