Buttermilk-Battered Calamari

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
What is it that makes this so incredible? The buttermilk? The ratio of salt/pepper/flour/oregano? I've used the buttermilk and this flouring ratio on Squid, Tilapia, and Catfish - great each time.

One Bowl Brownies

Excellent brownies that have never stayed in the pan long enough to dry out.

Pro Ganache

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
Exquisite. Just try and save a little for the baked good(s) you're trying to cover. I subbed a tsp of Frangelico for the vanilla once, and it was still great. Go simple, dip some roasted/salted almonds into it and take a trip to bliss. Use your best chocolate here, Ghirardelli at least - it's worth the money.

Elegant and delicious. It works. Very rich, you'll be snatching small slices all week.

Best Ever Brisket

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2010
We really enjoyed the flavors. I cut the chili & pepper by half and omitted the celery salt (none in the house) and there was still plenty of rich flavor. Many oohs and aahs. Even the toddler asked for seconds.

Great spice flavors and simplicity in preparation. I used 1.5 tsp salt and yogurt for the end. Highly satisfied family.

Mom's Stovetop Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
Outstanding dish. My normally pork-adverse wife greedily cleaned every bone. Perhaps a little salty - maybe 1/3 or 1/4 cup soy next time - but you didn't notice till the end. I used 1.5 lbs baby back ribs and a 12" skillet, and the water evaporated in ~ 45 minutes. This one's a keeper. Did I mention it looks gorgeous on the plate?

This recipe is truly exceptional. I have to keep my guests from digging in with a spoon.
