Maple Walnut Scones
These were delicious and very easy to make. I substituted pecans instead of walnuts, 2% milk instead of half and half and 2Tbsp maple syrup instead of extract, simply because that's what I had. I used a pastry brush to apply the glaze over the entire scone. I would definitely make them again. Thank you for sharing the recipe, Sandie!

Dad's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie
This recipe is a really useful base for a pot pie. I changed the seasoning, simply because I didn't have all the ingredients to hand, but kept the quantities of veg, meat and liquid the same. This works well with either a double or single crust. I've just put four of these in the freezer to use all that left over Christmas turkey!

Banana Cake VI
I opted not to do the freezer step - I figured that putting a hot cake into the freezer would mean the freezer would have to work harder to get back to temperature and therefore waste electricity. I'm sure doing this gets a moist cake, but not doing it also gets a moist and delicious cake and worthy of 5 stars. I'll be making this again very soon!
