Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2001
WOW! This was REALLY good! I think next time I'll half the frosting because the layer of frosting turned out to be as thick as my cake. But everyone loved it anyway!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2000
Mine didn't caramelize either but it tasted great! I left out the oil because I thought the chicken created enough. My boyfriend and my family loved it: tastes just like teriyaki chicken.

Mozzarella Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2000
This dish was GREAT!!!! I used shredded fat-free mozarella instead of slices but it turned out fine. It was super easy to make and my whole family loved it!!!!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2000
These brownies were very good. They were really moist and chewy when it had cooled a little bit. But the next day they became a little on the cakey side. Still very good though. Everyone at work loved them!

Yum Yum Squares

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2000
These bars were GREAT!!!! I did reduce the brown sugar to 1 cup but I still thought they were delicious! I got so many compliments from my family and church members! My college has these bars in their dining halls and I had been searching for the recipe. These are even better! Thank you, Janice!

Pecan Tarts

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2000
These tarts were great! My whole family and my church loved them! I lined the muffin tins with tiny muffin cups to make it less messy and they turned out fine. Great recipe and a very attractive dessert!

Meltaway Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2000
These brownies really did seem to melt in your mouth which i thought was a nice difference. But I thought they were too cakey instead of the rich and chewy texture I prefer. I would also leave out the salt beacause it tasted pretty salty.

French Onion Soup With Browned Garlic

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2000
This soup was great! My whole family loved it! I like how this recipe didn't have all the oil and margarine that other recipes do. I added fat free mozarella on top of the soup, then put the bread on, added a little more mozarella, sprinkled some Parmesian cheese and put the bowls in the oven to broil until the cheese melted and slightly browned. Delicious!!

Aunt Cora's World's Greatest Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2000
I personally prefer chewy cookies, so for a crispy cookie, I thought these were pretty good! They have a really nice texture and flavor. For extra peanut flavor I used half chocolate and half peanut butter chips.

Anna's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2000
I thought these cookies were nice and soft but they were more cakey than chewy. I thought the salt in the recipe made the cookie dough taste too salty. They were still good but I've had better.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2000
Although these were the first soft cookies I was ever able to make, they seemed more "dry, cakey soft" rather than the "moist, chewy soft" I prefer. In any case, they had a very good taste and everybody liked them, but I would not say they are the best cookies I've had.

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2000
This was a really good dish and my whole family liked it. I only put about a teaspoon of ginger and I thought it overpowered the peanut butter taste so I would recommend using less. I also added more honey because I love sweet and salty combinations.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2000
I thought this was a very tasty yet simple dish to make. I'm sure I'll make it again but I think I'll try using low fat instead of nonfat sour cream. The nonfat gave it sort of a weird taste. Fat free mozarella worked out fine though. I would also use a bigger dish. Good recipe!
