My favorite things to cook
Love Thai food, so exciting, would love to learn more recipes, cook the same old basics, soups, mexican food,(influenced by my old home in Santa Barbara.) I love to cook my Mom's recipes she was from Montreal so she had a varied international flare for cooking. Really miss her, I also love Rachel Ray think she is also greatly influenced by her Mom's cookingm Mom's are the not the best in the world! Roasts that are flavor infused. Muffins, with different fruits, blueberry etc. Also Hawaiian foods, so yummy Kalua Pork.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Beef Barley soup, chicken soup, apple pie, pastry sausage rolls, rattoulle, shepards pie, baked breaded chicken, scalloped potatoes,
chinese chicken salad, of course banana bread, chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, tacos, meatloaf with garlic potatoes mashed.
My cooking triumphs
Make a delicious pork wrapped with spinach, sausage, breadcrumb, apple spread on the inside before stuffing with other mixture honey and mustard roast, tweaked a Rachel Ray recipe, a tad, very popular with my hubby. Also make a great Blueberry Muffin, and Banana Bread.
My cooking tragedies
So many to count, woops forgot to time it burnt offerings galore. Better now that I have a new oven with timer. Have not made a Lemon Mereange pie, may try again, others have failed, now have a mixmaster so willing to give it a try. Hear moisture is a factor, hope Oregon is not too wet to try.
