Dale's Swedish Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
Good. I used home made bread crumbs and regular strong coffee. The sauce was nice and thick and it just a little bit bland. Not sure I'll put in next time to enhance the flavor.

Bacon Wrapped Barbeque Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
Good but you have to pre-cook the bacon. I used extra large wild caught shrimp. Only 13, but boy these were good and filling. Soaked them in BBQ sauce with extra smoke sauce added. Broiled them for 3 minutes on a side and then (like some one else said) left them in the oven for another 5 minutes until they were pink. Yeah baby!

Flea Terminator Dog Treats

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
I'm going to give my dog 2 a day and see how that works. Should know in a few weeks. He loves them. I've just given him the last of 3 bakings and he still is scratching like crazy. Guess I'll have to resort to Advantage or the like. I still keep making them since he really does enjoy them. Kind of healthy for him too, I suppose.

Bratwurst, Sauerkraut and Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
This was good. I only had turkey hotdogs. Would have been better with Kielbasa or brat sausages. Next time perhaps.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
Great but I added 1 egg and cottage cheese and parmasan cheese and mixed it all up. Needs lots of sauce to make it work. Yum.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
This was wonderful! Did add a can of black beans but other than that followed the recipe exactly. Took everything to a friend's house and we were both truly satisfied. I'm so glad I have some left over for tomorrow. Big freeze going on here now and this really hit the spot.

Broccoli Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
This was great. I used Green Giant boxed Immunity vegetables. Broccoli, red and yellow peppers and carrots in a light garlic sauce. I also added two minced garlic cloves and I didn't have any mushroom soup so I used cream of chicken. Also I didn't have any fettuccini but I had whole grain thin spagetti. Came out great and I've got a lot left over.

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
It was good. I added 1/2 C WW flour and used both eggs. Cooked it at 450 for 15 min. until it sounded hollow when I tapped on it. Added my toppings and baked for 15 more min. and then put it on broil for an additional 10 min. Very tasty and probably pretty healthy. Sprayed the bottom with spray and sprinkled corn meal on there before coooking. No sticking.

Buffalo Chicken Wings II

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
These were great and so easy to make. I defrosted them and mixed up all the ingrediants and baked them in my confection toaster oven for the full 45 minutes. Really, really good.

Mom's Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
This was great. Only thing I changed was to use Stove Top Turkey Stuffing left over from Turkey Day for the breading. Came out really moist and I'll probably never make it any other way from now on.

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
This came out a lot darker than the picture but that's probably because I threw everything in all at once except for the baking soda. Opps. Also, didn't have nuts so used a half cup of peanut butter. Tastes good though and my dog likes it too.

Eggless Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Pretty good. I baked them for 7 minutes. I didn't roll them out, just spooned on to sheet and flattened with a glass. Not as pretty as the picture but not bad tasting at all.

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
I used some 2% sharp cheese and some Tuscan spices a friend of mine gave me for the seasonings. Did microwave it for 10 minutes before I added the sauce and threw it in the oven. Smells devine and I'm almost sure it tastes as good. Oh yes, added some seasoned bread crumbs to the top before I put it in the oven. Will cook it for an hour at 325 and check it and decide from there how much longer to cook it. Ok, Max, my dog, wants out and is licking my leg. Gotta go. Enjoy.

Kickin' Collard Greens

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
I sort of incorporated another recipe for Drunken Greens into this one and had rave reviews from my neighbors and friends. I added more bacon and 1 btl of dark beer and cut back on the chicken broth. Used fresh mustard greens. Only put 1 Tbl of brown sugar in and otherwise followed the recipe. Outstanding.

Stuffed Shells II

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
Course I changed it a bit. Added black olives and artichoke hearts to the sauce. Put cottage cheese, egg and sour creme with chives (I was feeling really creative) in the shells. Cooked for alloted time and the filling was way to runny so I stuck it all back in the oven at 350 for a hour. Perfect.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Excellent. I really like the combination of garlic, rosemary and pepper. I used olive oil on the skin and it came out crispy and tasty.
