Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2013
This recipe is soooo good and so easy. I changed a couple things but kept it mostly the same. I had some italian bread crumbs that was mixed with parmesan cheese that needed to be use so I added that instead of just the bread crumbs(1/4 c.). I also didn't have any sherry so I left that out and I used elk burger. The hubby loved it too. Definite keeper.

Pressure Cooker Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2013
This did not turn out well at all. The sauce burned in the bottom of the pan. (I suspected it would with that amount of sugar.) I didn't cook it the full time and the chicken was dry. This may be good if it was baked but is hard to say I wasn't able to taste sauce.

Sausage, Peppers and Spaghetti Squash

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2013
I have made this many times and everytime it comes out great. The only thing that I change is, I leave out the fennel. I never have it on hand and I don't think you are missing much by leaving it out. I have also made this with canned tomatoes and it is still really good.

Zucchini Soup II

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
This was seriously AWESOME! My husband and I absolutly loved it. I did make a couple of changes. Instead of sauteing the veggies I steamed them to cut the fat and calories. I also added a handful of chopped mushrooms at the end. This is definatly a keeper!

Chocolate Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
This banana bread recipe is one of the best that I have tried. It is super moist and has a fantastic flavor. My husband took some to work his employees gobbled it up. One employee begged me to make a loaf just for her. I will certainly be making this again.

Pork Chops with Delicious Gravy

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
They honey completly over powered everything. The only thing you could taste in the gravy was the honey. Sweet gravy on a pork chop is not a good combo. I scraped off the gravy and made a plain white gravy and saved dinner. I won't be making this again.

Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
I am giving this a 4 because my husband and sister-in-law loved it. I, however, was not impressed. I did change it up a bit. I used a roast instead of a london broil because that is what I had on hand. I added some cubed potatoes and onions. I found the gravy to be bland. I may make this again for my husband but I will be making me a different dinner that night.

Caramels

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
This is a fantastic caramel recipe. I make it every year for the holidays. It is a time consuming art. The recipes says to cook to 250 degrees but I cook it a little more than a soft ball stage. I sometimes add pecans and it is awesome. If made correctly this is the best. My family asks me every year to make this. I give it away as gifts for family and friends and if I happen to miss someone they get upset.

Ten Minute Szechuan Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
This is very good. Be sure to not put anymore rice vinegar than it calls for. Maybe I am slow but it took me about 45 mins from start to finish to cook this. I made a couple of changes. I like it a little more spicy so I doubled the pepper. The first time I made it I cut the onions as the recipe instructs and they were way too big. I now cut the onions very small and it has a better flavor to it. It was lacking a little so I added some brocolli. All I had was frozen brocolli so I added it, stirred, covered and simmered until broccoli was no longer frozen.

Cola Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
This is a favorite in my house. It has such a good flavor. I don't have a lot of time to cook so I coat the chops in flour mixed with seasoning salt and pepper. I then layer chops and sauce in crock pot on low for about 5-6 hrs. They are so tender they melt in your mouth. I serve this over white rice, the sauce is very good on rice.

Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
This recipe is so yummy. I don't like steak and had some in my freezer so I thought this would be a good way to use it. I only made one change. I sliced the steak very thin and it turned out so tender. Steak to me is tough and this melted in your mouth. My husband raved about it. I will definatly be making this again.

Good. Not quite worth the calorie content but still yummy. I had to double the sauce because it did not make that much. With some alterations this recipe has potential.

Cola Pork Chops

Very Good. I make them whenever I can't think of something to cook for dinner. I leave the brown sugar out to cut back on calories and it is still delicious.

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
This was really good. But I will make some changes next time. After marinating the chicken drain the marinade off then coat with flour. I failed to do this and there was chunks of flour in it. I might also substitute corn starch for flour. The flour did not stick to the chicken. Also I would reduce the amount of sugar to cut back on calories. Also it was a bit too sweet. But I will make it again.
