Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
Despite only having about one hour to marinate, the salmon turned out great on the gas grill!! Great, simple recipe.

Loaded Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
These potatoes are amazing. I fix mine a bit different. I start by microwaving them for about 6-7 minutes to get them started cooking, let cool a little and then slice, drizzle with butter (mixed with a little EVOO) and top with the rest of ingredients. Bake, uncovered at about 400 for 20-30 minutes to finish them off. Fantastic!! (In my opinion, the rosemary is a definate must)

Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2008
This was really sweet and really good!! Served it with sliced bananas. The changes that I made were: 5 eggs, 3/4 c. skim milk and 14 slices cinnamon bread cut into bite sized pieces. I baked it in a glass pyrex dish and did not have a problem with it burning as some other reviewers did.

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
WOW!! I have made these bars twice and they turned out excellent both times. Brought them to work yesterday and received so many compliments; everyone loved them. I brought home an empty pan and barely got to taste them for myself!!I do add 1 tsp cinnamon as suggested by some reviewers as well as Cream Cheese II frosting recipe on this site, then top with chopped walnuts. I also use the jelly roll pan, not a 9X13. These are by far the best banana bars I've ever tasted!!!

Smoky Chicken Spread

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
Excellent! I was worried the smoky flavor would be a bit much, but not at all! Only mildly smoky. Love this recipe!

Tender Pork Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
Excellent! Used only 1/2 c. sugar, but otherwise followed recipe. Used bone-in roast and meat was still very tender! Loved the 'teriyaki' flavor.

Nacho Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
Great recipe! Had to stir in a little more milk at the end to thin it a little, otherwise, didn't change a thing. Also, it took more like 15 minutes, not 25. Will definitely use again!!

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2012
Great! Used several of the modifications that I read. ie: let cake cool, then poked holes into cake with handle of wooden spoon not quite all the way to bottom. Drizzled 1 can sweetened condensed milk alternating with caramel over top of cake. (I did not warm them first) Sprinkled liberally with candy pieces, then let cool completely. Spread whipped topping over all. Then drizzledd with more caramel, Hershey's chocolate and sprinkled more candy pieces. Refrigerated for a couple of hours before serving.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
Delicious! Added a little chicken broth to the chicken during cooking, as it was done long before suppertime and I didnt want it to dry out. Also used about 3 oz. extra cream cheese and a jar of pimentos. This one's a keeper!!!

Followed other reviews to "make" the self-rising flour and drizzled with 3 tbsp butter before baking. So close to TS brand, I will never have to buy it again! Thanks for the recipe Jodi!!!

Crescent Bacon-Cheddar Pinwheels

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
Mmmmm! These are great with more cheese and bacon. I used chive & onion cream cheese instead of ranch and just spread a thin layer on. It probably amounted to 3-4 TBSP (I didnt measure) Went soo well with our cheesy potato soup at lunch today!! Definitely stick in the freezer for 15 or so minutes prior to attempting to slice! This one's a keeper!

Wild Rice Turkey Dish

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
So, So good. Simmered 1 cup wild rice blend in 2 cups chicken broth 50+min. in place of box rice (didn't have any) Added 1 stalk celery, 4 chopped baby carrots, 1/3 cup chopped onion, 1 small can mushrooms (all sauteed in 4 TBSP butter) and 1 cup steamed broccoli. Omitted water chestnuts. Also threw in a large 'pinch' of shredded monterey jack. Upped the water to 1 cup. Baked, covered loosely with foil 30 minutes, uncovered and baked another 15 min. For the topping I used 1 cup plain bread crumbs + 1/3 cup Italian bread crumbs mixed with 4 tbsp melted butter & a little shredded cheddar. Baked for another 10 minutes. Delish! Aside from Sheppard's pie-the best way to use Thanksgiving leftovers! And very versatile--use whatever veggies you like, or none! :D Will make again!!!

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
Excellent flavor and a wonderful change from the cream soup recipes I've made previously. Sautéed the onions in the butter with a large clove of minced garlic, then followed recipe. Once sauce was done, I stirred in about a half cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a little parsley, then stirred altogether in a bowl, transferred to baking dish and sprinkled with paprika. Mine did require most of the full 2 hour baking time as my slices were a bit thicker. Sauce was thick and rich. Delicious!

Baked Parmesan Perch

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
Really good! Tried this with perch from one of our local lakse :) Used Panko instead of bread crumbs, but added Italian bread crumbs (?1/4 cup) Doubled the panko & parm cheese. Added couple generous shakes of lemon pepper, dash of onion powder, dash of garlic salt. Also melted about 4 TB Butter and dredged all the fish into it to coat well prior to dredging through the crumb mixture. Had a little left over, so I tried Imitation Crab as well. That was Even BETTER Than the fish, but should have been baked a little less!! Baked at 450 for 10 min (filets were on the small side) Then turned up to 500 for 2 minutes to get them good and crispy. Didn't burn at all and were done perfectly! Next time I might add a little salt and sub the butter for something more healthy-otherwise LOVED IT! Will make this again!

AMAZING! Made as directed for 1 1/2# steak. Marinated for 4 hours. Only thing I added was a handful of fresh cilantro (chopped up just a little) Also made another 1/2 sauce and tossed my cut up onion and peppers in this plus half packet of dry Italian seasoning mix about 20 minutes before cooking. Delish!!
