About this Cook
I'm a divorced mother of two. I just recently moved to Tipton with my boyfriend and his two kids, we bought a house together and combined our families. I'm learning how to cook for six and trying to please everyone, which is a task all in itself. I just recently got a job at an assisted living home as a CNA. My life is busy busy busy but I always try to find time to cook a good meal for my family, I believe that a family should sit down at the table to eat a meal at least once a day.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. I 'm also a cook who rarely makes the same thing twice, I love to try out new recipes on my family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother and I always take a day before the holidays and bake our Christmas cookies together.
My cooking triumphs
I've gotten to be more adventurous in my cooking. I've also the last 2 years been decorating the kids birthday cakes. I've made a flip-flop cake, a spiderman cake,a underwater themed cake, candy land cake, and a winter wonderland cake.
My cooking tragedies
When I was first learning to cook I was a vegetarian and I decided one day I was going to bread and fry up some pork chops for my boyfriend at the time. The chops were nice and golden on the outside and I was so proud of myself, but when he went to cut into them they were still bleeding.

Delicious Gluten-Free Pancakes
This is the BEST gluten free pancake recipe out there!! My kids can't even taste the difference. The only pancake recipe I will make, EVER!! YUMMMMMY!!! You made my morning!! The only thing I did different was instead of dry buttermilk powder I used 2 cups milk with 2 Tbsp. white vinegar. Thank You!!

Berdean's Cube Steak
This is the best cube steak recipe I have ever tried, even my four kids who are all under the age of 9 love it. The only changes I made was I used white rice flour in replace of the wheat flour and beef broth instead of beef bouillon, this is due to my gluten free diet. YUMMY!!

Charleston Breakfast Casserole
I used garlic croutons and left out the green pepper because of the kids. Even my 5 year old, who eats anything was picking at this casserole. Will not be making this again.
