This frosting was ah-mazing. It was the best homemade frosting I've had. I only used it for a layer cake, so I didn't do any piping or detail work, so I'm not sure how it would hold up to that. Using the clear vanilla left the frosting really, really white, and that made it really easy to add color to. This will definitely be my go to frosting from now on!

Simple White Cake

I made a six layer cake (three batches halved) using this recipe and it went over really well, especially with the kids. The people who said the cake had a sugar cookie flavor were right. Three people told me that yesterday when I served it. It is a little richer and a little more dense than a regular white cake, but it's really delicious!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

These are great! I made my cookies pretty big, so I only got about 1 1/2 dozen. I baked them at the same temp and for the same amount of time, and they turned out really soft and chewy. Probably a little under done actually, but they're so good that way!

Joanne's Super Hero Sandwich

I made this for my husband and his friends, and they really liked it. It got kind of soggy, though. I don't know if there's really any way to fix that. My husband wasn't a huge fan of the dressing that went with it, and I think I might use some Italian dressing next time.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

I made these for a Super Bowl party and they were a hit! I'm not very experienced with breads, and I had trouble getting all five cups of flour incorporated even after added extra water. I ended up tossing out some of the flour, so next time I'll probably decrease it a little. Either way, they were great!

Awesome Pasta Salad

I made this for my fiance, now husband, and his groomsmen for a tux fitting cook out. It made a ton, and it didn't last even though I figured there'd be lots of leftovers.
