Best Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2014
Fantastic recipe! I marinated them for about 3 hours and they were full of flavor, and super juicy. We don't usually like pork leftovers, but these were just as tasty reheated for lunch the next day.

Irish Soda Bread

Left out the caraway seeds and reduced the raisins by half (maybe more). This bread turned out great.

Cheeseburger Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2014
My family enjoyed this recipe. I browned the beef with onion, used a can of tomato sauce instead of diced tomatoes (I didn't have any) and 12 oz of elbows so I didn't have a partial box leftover. I mixed about 1/4-1/2 cup of cheese in with the meat and pasta, then added another cup (or more) on top as the recipe called for. It was better than I expected.

Baked Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Style

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2013
Will definitely make again. Used jarred spaghetti sauce since I was short on time, and I added sausage. Baked in a 13x9 since I was using leftover squash and no longer had the shells. Yum!

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2013
Probably the best bread I've ever made! These baguettes were light and soft with a slightly chewy crust. The egg yolk wash gives them a nice color. Made dough in the bread machine and used active dry yeast in place of instant (bread machine) yeast. Served with potato soup and it was the perfect combination. Will definitely make again.

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2013
This is delicious! I used half and half instead of heavy cream and left out the tarragon and cilantro. Served with shredded cheese, sour cream and chives. Can't wait to make again.

Sarah's Banana Bread Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2013
Great muffin recipe! I cut the sugar to 1/2 cup as recommended by other reviewers. I also cut the oil to about 3 TBSP and used 1/3 cup of vanilla greek yogurt. Made these in a mini muffin tin and baked at 350 for approx. 18-20 minutes. Will make again!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 15, 2013
Fantastic! I added a cup of craisins and these came out perfect. They are sweet...could probably cut the sugar a bit and they would still be great.

Pasta and Peas

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
With a few changes, this was fantastic and I'll definitely make again. Instead of oil, I chopped up three slices of bacon and cooked them in the skillet. Removed the cooked bacon and added garlic and green onion to the bacon fat and cooked. Then added the peas until heated. Added the cooked chopped bacon back in and tossed with bow ties. The entire family loved this meal.

Traditional Mashed Potatoes

I've made these several times. I put the butter in the milk and warm up in the microwave, so the butter is mostly melted.

Delicious! Followed the recipe to a "t" and added lattice crust over the breadcrumb topping. This was a hit at Thanksgiving dinner.

Apple-Raisin French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
Easy to make and delicious. I used regular whole wheat sandwich bread because that's what I had on hand (cubed to make serving easy with 2 kids), and I omitted the raisins. Put this in the oven while it was preheating so I could go back to bed while breakfast cooked. Baked for about 40 minutes covered then another 5-10 uncovered and it was perfect. This is a sweet breakfast - great for an occasional treat for the family.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2012
Delicious! I used homemade chicken stock, sauteed the onions and carrots, then followed the recipe, except I also added some frozen peas when I added the noodles. Needed a little extra salt and pepper, but this was a very tasty soup.

I wish I could rate this better, but it's extremely bland. Just not very flavorful.

Peach Berry Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
Delicious! Added an extra peach, since 3 cups didn't look like enough fruit to me. Also added 1/2 tsp vanilla to the fruit mix after taking off the stove. I didn't have coarse sugar, so just used regular (about 1.5 tbsp) and it was fine. Served warm with vanilla ice cream and everyone loved it.

Zucchini Pizza Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
I don't usually change recipes around as much as I did with this one, but I didn't have everything I needed to make this as written. The only ground beef I had in the freezer was made for tacos, so I gave this a Mexican spin. Instead of mozzarella, I used taco cheese, a can of diced tomatoes instead of sauce, and I left out the italian seasoning. I had some leftover black bean, corn and salsa mix from a previous dinner this week, so I threw that in too. Topped with about half the cheese called for and this was delicious! Definitely nothing like a pizza with all the changes I made, but the recipe was a great jumping off point for me. Hubby and both kids loved it too.
