About this Cook
Started cooking for myself when I was young but then started cooking complicated recipes when I was 16. Both of my parents are chefs, as is my boyfriend. I have traveled internationally a lot and love ordering items off menus that I have no idea what they are. I lived in Germany for 2 years and developed a deep love of all things german- including doner. Travelling to Brazil was my first insight into tropical food. Japan made me love simplicity and flavor balance, something I am still trying to learn. Love food and good company.

Anything that is a new recipe.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandma used to cook a lot of Mexican-American dishes like enchiladas and tamales. We have a family recipe for flour tortillas that has been passed down through the generations. My mother made lots of pies, scones and cheap foods when I was young. Poverty certainly makes lots of tasty meals.
My cooking triumphs
Made 17 pumpkin and apple pies for a University dinner with homemade crust and homemade fruit base.

Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes
My new favorite recipe. I added a dash more milk and fresh blueberries, a touch more cinnamon and nutmeg. Wonderful. This made enough for 2 hungry people.

Meatball Nirvana
These were really good and moist. I used 1/2 ground beef, 1/2 Italian sausage and they came out wonderful. Definitely a keeper

Mexican Rice II
A good start, but this needs more spices. Follow this recipe, but let your imagination go, garlic, more chili powder, cayenne, enchilada sauce etc.
