Sarah's Spicy Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2011
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this recipe! I used two lbs of ground turkey (because my bf is a beast and eats a lot) and threw in a little extra of all the spices (we like spicy food). I omitted the chicken broth to make it a little thicker, simmered on the stove for an hour an presto--we had a delicious fall meal!

Spicy Sweet Potato Soup

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
This came out awesome! I omitted some things like the sour cream, tomato, cilantro and added an extra garlic clove, paprika instead of red pepper flakes and added some jamaican curry powder (OK, i changed it quite a bit but the basis is the same) used crunchy peanut butter with flax seeds--and it was AMAZING. I blended everything in a food processor and the texture came out perfect. Thanks! I'll definitely be making this at my next dinner party.

Jenn's Out Of This World Spaghetti and Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
This was the first time I've ever made homemade meatballs and it turned out pretty good. Although, next time I will add more garlic to the sauce--and more sauce in general. The amount here wasn't enough to cover all the meatballs so I had to add a jar of sauce I spruced up with some fresh garlic and onion. Overall though this was great and I would make it again! It definitely tastes better the day after!

Peppermint Meringues

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2012
This was my first attempt at meringues and I have to say they came out amazing. I stopped reading the reviews because I wanted to form my own opinion. I doubled the recipe because I was making a bunch as gifts so I wanted to have plenty. Yes, you have to beat the mix for a looonnnggg time to get the stiff white peaks but it's worth it when your meringues come out the perfect shape! I got so many compliments on these from my co-workers and friends that I am about to make another batch to bring home to my family for the holidays. They are a delicious, light treat and I find the mint stops you from eating a ton of them, like I always want to do with chocolate chip cookies!

Roasted Chickpeas

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2012
This is one of those things you either love them or hate them. I try to add as much spice as possible to give them a good kick and they replace a salty, crunchy snack like potato chips for me--obviously these are much healthier than chips. However, when I put them out at a party they were no match to the tortilla chips with salsa--just a fact of life! But if you are watching your weight I would definitely recommend making these and keeping them on hand for any salty cravings you may have! I made 4 cans (since I find you have to cook them about 1.5-2 hours to get really, really crunchy) and they have lasted just fine for the last three weeks!

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
Yum! I also took advice from some of the other reviews--I added a half onion, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika to the meat mix. Instead of folding in cheese, I used shredded mozzarella and made a layer of it in the middle and then put more meat mixture on the top. To finish it off I spread on a thin layer of BBQ sauce. This came out so delicious I will def make it again!

Meringue Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2013
Just made these for the first time and they came out great. The key is to beat the egg whites on high for about 15 minutes....I know it sounds like a long time but if you don't get really stiff white peeks the batter will be runny! Came out so yummy!
