Grandma's Rice

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
Delicious and simple! I revised it a bit...skipped the onion, only used 3/4 stick of butter and sauteed chicken and added it to the mixture and threw it in the oven. Presto! Fabulous and EASY dinner!

Zippy Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
This is over the top yummy. The only thing that I do that is not in the recipe is take the casserole out of the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before bakign to get it more to room temperature. Doing that eliminates the potential of any runniness that others complained about. DELICIOUS!

Make Ahead Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
Delicious. I agree with other reviews that even after letting it "warm up" on the counter before baking for 30 minutes, it still needs 10-15 minutes more cook time. But it's awesome and a more "refined" breakfast casserole. YUM.

Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting

Out of this world delicious. Did not use all the powdered sugar as I prefer my frosting not-so-sweet.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
These pancakes are a little slice of heaven. Follow the recipe exactly and the only thing we do differently is eat them for dinner instead of breakfast! Serve 'em with hot syrup. Absolutely delicous! Thanks, Dakota!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I've made this over 20 times and just now reviewing. It's awesome! I make mini loaves (5.5 inch pans) and bake for 35 minutes. Other than that, I follow recipe exactly and it's just perfect! So great as gifts and makes the house smell delicious and your tummy will be so happy after a slice with hot apple cider!

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
Delicious and loved by young kids and the young at heart. Recipe easily cut in half. And like a lot of other reviewers, I slice up the hot dogs...at first so kiddos wouldn't choke and now because we love the surprise of a frank in a bite. They are DELISH.

Tex-Mex Beef and Cheese Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
Not even all that cheese in the center could save these enchiladas. They are terrible. I am from Texas and this is NOT Tex Mex. It's terrrrrible.

This was out of this world. I will definitely double the sauce next time. And add capers.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
Tender but TERRIBLE flavor. The French Onion soup tated so very artificial. It tastes NOTHING like any salisbury steak that we have ever had.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
This soup is the reason people say I am a good cook. I add a smidge more red wine and use the whole bunch of basil. If I am to serve it for dinner, I make it early in the day so that the flavors meld. ABSOLUTELY DIVINE.

Antipasto Squares

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
These ROCK. One thing to pay attention to- you must separate the egg mixture. I always forget to do that. You have to reserves some for the wash on top. So good hot and just as good at room temp.

Six Week Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
These are so very delicious. And healthful. So perfect for the mornings when you don't have time to whip up a batch of muffins- they are all ready, waiting in the fridge. We experimented with all kinds of fruit- from craisins to apples. One thing- they are even yummier after the batter has been in the refrigerator for a day or two. Enjoy!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
These are the finest things I have ever put in my mouth. I was on a quest to find the perfect muffin recipe and this is it. DIVINE. After reading the reviews, I added a teaspoon of vanilla, a pinch of nutmeg and a pinch of cinnamon. These muffins are outstanding!
